I've had the X5 Pro from the earlier deal on here for a few days now. Have got quite a large no of apps running on it, but I must say I'm impressed with the battery life. I seem to get a solid 1.5 days with moderate use. The battery is also removable and you can pick them up from many Chinese sites. The X5 Pro is a great phone, everything works, the screen is 720p but very clear with punchy colours, GPS locks on in seconds. I'm a happy camper.

Just received it today (EU warehouse, 6 days exactly) and totally impressed with it. It replaces our kid's old iphone 4 and it rips through everything at lightspeed in comparison. It feels nearly as fast as my wife's beaten sony, and in fact she was looking at the new shiny toy longingly -- but of course -- once you go waterproof, nothing can pry an xperia from your fingers... Anyway - Y100 looks insane for the money.

I have the X5 Pro. It seems fine so far. Under £50 from Banggood.
Install mobile app and get voucher code, the buy using app. That should take it down below £50. Took about 2 weeks to arrive from China, via Sweden.

I bought this phone a few months ago for £85, very pleased with it, great performance, very fast compared to my old Razri and the battery lasts 2 days easy with normal use. Less obviously if using heavily but even then I get over a days use.
Only problem I have is I got a People's Operator sim and no matter what they tired we could not get the data to work on it. But all other sims I have tried have been fine.

I know its not the same phone but I ordered the Doogee Mini F1 and it had a fault, I paid the extra for them to send me a replacement and it had the same fault so I'm not sure I trust Doogee. I think it is a manufacturing problem. just so you know, if you have a problem with an item from China you are very limited on what you can do. It will always cost you more money. I ended up buying an Elephone P6000 Pro for just under £100, from the UK and would highly recommend it.

I bought one of these for my wife 3 weeks ago at £68. The phone is excellent for the price. Memory, screen, processor, battery, are all excellent. Runs every app she has put on it and games like Minecraft and Asphalt 8 work well. The camera is fine, the sort of quality you got from a Samsung S3. The back looks metal but is plastic.. Spare batteries cost £6 and cases £3+. The sound is fine for a phone but I wouldn't want to listen to music without headphones or an external speaker.

You would probably get more heat if you added "Doogee Y100" to the title, they're a reasonable brand.

pretty damming review re battery and audio which is a shame
That review refers to the phone being priced £80. I just ordered it and the total came tp £54.38. Different expectations at just over £50.

A quick question: as I don't have a dual-sim phone, is it possible to separate or rather spread the use of calls, texts and data across two SIM's. For example, can you put EE data SIM in Slot 1 and a 2G/GSM for calls/texts in Slot 2 or vice-versa, without losing too much functionality from either?
paulandpam1 to anonimousse

Yes you can do exactly that, also you can opt for the default sim for making calls or have it ask you each time you make a call which one you want to use.

I used to have a dual SIM phone and you lose nothing in terms of functionality. It just uses both and tells you which one is receiving current call. When you dial out you can set up a default sim or choose one each time you call. Web-wise, you set up one or the other as a service.

how has the heat gone down? seriously! £56 delivered from UK, 4G, 5", 2Gb, 16Gb, quad core & Lolipop.
I wish people would post their reasons. I suspect people are just generalising against this kind of product.

Yes I'd say definitely so, with occasional use I'd wager on 1.5 days. To give you an idea, I was taking a call via a bluetooth headset while having GPS navigation on in the car for about 45 min, and the battery dropped only 15% which isn't bad at all.

Would yo say with average use (ocassional surfing, texting etc) through the day you can get by without having to charge?

The battery life on the Doogee fones is suspect. Requires charging mid way through day which is unacceptable these days
