Great. Something had obviously "clicked" at nectar. The number of complaints and confusions have obviously escalated.
They had to do something in the end. Lets hope everyone here gets a resolution. I can see many more posts saying "points added" which is a positive....Take care...

This email is in regards to your eBay missing points.
I would like to inform you that the bonus points from eBay will be added 28 days after the offer ends(22/11/2015)."

FYI...this is consistent with what my previous emails said. 28 days after the offer ends is 20th Dec.
I know some people have had their points allocated, with a little persistence. Others are still chasing them.
My understanding of the t&c's from the beginning was 20th Dec.
I have the assurance that the points will come eventually, albeit later that some.
I will no doubt issue a complaint to Nectar in any case with the amount of time being wasted on this.

Yes call Nectar and insist your query is escalated. You sold your item before mine.
I did nectar live chat yesterday...they told me to chat today (28 days after the sale date)

I called the helpline and that person didn't know anything about this promo.
Eventually, I expressed my frustration about being "bounced around" and was put through to a supervisor.
I explained the whole promo and they remembered it was last months promo.
Most at customer service tend to remember the "current" ones I was told.
Anyhow, my query was escalated as "high priority". 200 points given instantly. 2000 points pending 3 days.
I found live chat useless. I got better responses by email and calling nectar directly.
See how you get on...but insist your query is escalated...

I called Nectar, and escalated the query to a supervisor.
Finally, someone at Nectar who actually knew about the promotion.
200 points added instantly for all the trouble I have been through.
2000 points should be coming within 72 hours.
Thats what I was told.

Call Nectar..not ebay....nectar are the ones giving the points
you need to give your Nectar card no, ebay ID, item number etc.
They will tell you what they need. Keep at it and hound them...

I was told it would be 48-72 hours to resolve, obviously lot faster

My 28 days was up several days ago so I contacted them on live chat, after 5 mins and being passed twice I was told it had been sent to a special team (?) and now the 2000 points plus points for the item I sold are showing as added on. I gave them the text of the email, and the item number I sold and sale date. I have no other bonus points going on and they show as being that promotion anyway. Just persist on live chat.

This is such a mess up. I contacted Nectar via the online chat and was told to call. I spent 15 minutes on my mobile to them only to be told to email the details and original email. I've emailed them and they've asked for my eBay ID (which they should have really as my account is linked to Nectar) and they'll look in to it. Seems like poor communication between Nectar and eBay... If you're still waiting, you may want to drop Nectar an email with details of your Nectar number, name, DOB, address (security purposes, I was told), eBay ID and original email. I also mentioned the item sold and the date.

I registered with gourmet society over month ago, live chat said I gave to wait 3 months for points, that's better than 4 I had to wait for sainsbury mobile.... and eBay black Friday points which just didn't track

Well just got off live chat after 15 minutes, and still no go getting them added.

The first person on live chat said 24 hours and the second person said 48 hours. I think that's just a lie altogether and it gets added instantly if they have the power to do so

I have just received my points at long last too. I decided to ring this morning and got palmed off saying I would have to wait 28 days after the 22nd November. I decided to try live chat again and informed them that someone yesterday promised to get the points on my account and they insisted they could only add 1000 points at a time. After fighting my corner a bit they finally added them so it can be done on the live chat

Another thing, you sure the 2000 points was not from sainsbury, as the last few days every one has been given either a free 500 , 1000, 2000 , worth of points for being part of the recent double up ?

It's possible however if the chat was the reason then i wasn't expecting the points for another 2 business days.. if nothing else this proves that our interpretation of the t&c's was more correct than either eBay's or Nectar's.

I did just say that i've no idea if it's because of the chat i had online or the fact that 28 days have passed... i listed and sold my item on November 3rd and i got the points on December 3rd so thats 30 days

I have to wait another week/10 days before my 28 days are up!

After being told I would receive my points within 24 hours directly from Nectar, surprise surprise I haven't. Contacted them again and was told to email their customer service team as the live chat team can't issue points (so I was lied to the first time). I don't think anyone seems to know what they're doing with regards to this promotion!

I have an email from Nectar saying I should contact them and they would "investigate" if the points haven't arrived by that date. It is what it is I guess..

I just went into store and bought Tu clothing and was told my account had been credited with 2000 points. Didn't redeem any vouchers, no idea why I got them. Probably incentive to shop there more. Received no email

Folloup, just got off phone to nectar and they said they new nothing about the ebay offer, also because the date was to be sold on ebay by the 22nd november(nectar call this the expire date of offer), that 28 days had to start from there before they can even look into the problem, if they not been added by then, they would then look into it and add points, so i have to wait until 20th december.

The T&C's say that i will receiev my points 28 days after sale.. it is now day 30 and i have not received them

I just checked the promotion email again and it says the following:

I'd get in touch with them again and insist the email says that and they should put them on your account immediately. I will let you know if I get mine though.

Spoke to someone at Nectar this morning as today is day 28 and they assured me my nectar points would be put on for me this morning if that helps anyone to do the same.

Well ebay got that wrong then, as terms and conditions said the opposite.

Just spoke to ebay "customer service advisor" about this, they said the item had to be listed on exactly the 15th and sold on exactly the 22nd. They didn't have a clue what the word 'by' meant. Infuriating company to deal with.

just tried to speak to both eBay and Nectar and both sides have escalated my enquiry.. my Ebay Nectar transactions don't show anything for the item i sold.. not even the standard points i should have accrued.. :disappointed:

I spoke to eBay a few weeks back and they said 28 days from the day I sell my item and now I'm reading on here 28 days from when the offer ends. This is definitely going all the way to the 20th December I can feel it!

Initially I thought the promo email was a fake. That was my reason to email them two weeks ago. They confirmed to me in their reply that the 2000 points promo was indeed genuine from Nectar.

I sold my item on the 6th (listed after I got the email). I sent an email to nectar support. two weeks ago. They replied the next day. As I never saw any points yet, I emailed them again on Thursday. Yesterday I got the above reply. The points offer ends on the 22nd (tomorrow). So I was told the points could take up to 28 days after the promo ends (approx Dec 20th). If I don't receive them autumatically...they will investigate and add them to my nectar card number linked to my ebay.

That's upto 28 days after the 22/11.

Was hoping the 2000 free points would be in my account when double up started today, guess we still got 5 days for them to be added yet.

It needs to be listed after you got the email....I got my email on 03/11/15
I sold two items on the 4th but got told neither qualified since they had been listed in Oct.

I spoke to ebay a few months back and they said they send offers of promotions to randomly selected ebay users. If you didn't get the email, then it wont matter whether your nectar is linked or not. And you cannot "choose" to select the offers. The offer must come to you and in most cases you have to "opt-in" to validate. I was told that this promotion is not an "opt-in". Once you get the email, you must fulfill the criteria of listing at least one item on ebay by the 15th and selling it by the 22nd. That will enable Nectar to award to 2000 points 28days after the date of sale. This is my understanding. I would check with Nectar or ebay if I were you.

My first contact with ebay...they knew nothing about it. Nectar confirmed right away.
Nectar CS emailed me that that the promo was valid. Ebay CS did the same a few hours after checking..
Ebay is the "platform" for the sale. Nectar is governing the rules.
Nectar has many promotions, not just on ebay. At the end of the day the points are being given by them, not ebay.
So I guess its Nectar that have the overall decision.....just my thought....

just re-read my email from Nectar CS.....this what they said

"I can confirm that if you have listed the items after the 3rd November 2015 and sell them before the 22nd November 2015 you will receive the points stated in the email."

I just had a reply from ebay CS regarding two things I sold yesterday. They said my two items didn't qualify. Although they were "sold" yesterday after I got the promo, they had been "listed" last week on ebay "before" the promo had began. From what I understand, 1. get the promo email. 2. list the item (before 16th Nov). sell the item (before 22nd Nov). So what you did "should" qualify. I'm sure Nectar CS (who are the ones giving the points away in the first place) will honor minor 3rd Nov time issues since people get their emails at different times (please don't quote me on that). You should send a message to Nectar using their online form. They respond within 24hours. For the rest of us....it all starts from today onwards...so we all have up to the 15th to list one item and flog it by the week after....I mean...how hard can that be...

The promo states:

To qualify, listings must be:
• Listed on eBay.co.uk by 1­5 Nove­mber 20­15

Doesnt say anything about whether you sell via auctions or BIN. As long as you sell ONE item. 1 nectar point for every £1 your item sells for on top of the 2000 points

I had this message from Nectar directly after making my enquiry:

This is 2000 points so its worth a free tenner.....sell something for a £1 and get £10 to spend back...even on ebay as a voucher.....worth it IMHO...

spoke to nectar directly...they said that the promotion is VALID....you only need to sell 1 item
you need to list it before 15th Nov, and it must sell before 25th Nov.
in addition to the 2000 points, you get 1 point for every £1 it sells for.
So I guess it applies to auctions...not sure about BIN sales

I've been sent quite a lot of offers by Ebay in the last few months. September I was offered 25% off Final Fees, a week or so later 50% and then a couple of weeks ago 75% off. Thing is I listed items following each email offer from them so was surprised that after taking up the 25% off offer, I was then offered 50%. Having taken that up I was even more surprised to be offered 75% off!

I should think so though as their fees have just got ridiculous! When I joined in 1999 seller's fees were around 2.5 to 3% - now they're over 10%.

I can only presume that they are struggling now hence all the offers.

I hate Ebay - immensely - but when I have loads of stuff to get rid of I've little choice. Maybe if they hadn't got so greedy then people would use it more like they used to. I hope they collapse and go out of business - somebody new would start up a replacement and will hopefully offer fairer fees.

I got the email, worth returning to ebay for 2000 nectar points. I usually use Gumtree for free these days.

for the last two months they have given me a voucher for £30 as long as i sell £30 worth of stuff
a few months back they mucked up a nectar points conversion to ebay voucher (£75) and because of the mix up i got two £75 vouchers :smiley:

I read the ts and cs and it said something about not having a nectar account already linked to the ebay account, otherwise it's not eligible. So unless you link a new nectar account, you won't get the points. Have I got that right?
