I ordered from 7dayshop for a different offer from here..It showed as in stock but did not ship. On contacting them it was on back order but this was not communicated to me. Cancelled. May not happen to you, just a comment on my experience.

brilliant build quality on this. Have had the 128gb usb 3.0 for over a year and a half and no reduction in the build quality at all, really solid. SO this is something to consider if you take in and out of a usb port on a daily basis. Write speeds also very good always in the region of 50-70mb p/s. The enclosure gets pretty hot during prolonged usage though, but never bothered me at all.

These sticks have been posted here on HUKD quite a few times and always get largely very favourable comments. Low price for a big capacity stick. I have mine plugged into my wireless router and stream content from it. Absolutley no issues with it.

Got the 64GB - if I was getting another USB stick, it'd be a Grixx. Can't fault it. Great performance and value for money too. Heat added.

It's a good USB but this deals heat isn't too far from this sticks operating temperature... I hear they do get very hot which will shorten its like, opted for the mymemory red which was cheaper at the time but it is also slower and only plastic.

Snap (listening to audio streaming from it as I type)
Neither of these work in my routers. I have 2 'reds' and 2 routers (both used as switches). They light up, flash like krazy between 5 and 10 times and they go out and are never accessible
over the network. Can't offer an explanation for why a router instead of a computer would matter as they work great with my PC. Much faster too. They also work fine in my smart TV which is what I use one for now. I've also had intermittent problems when attaching them to my phone via OTG although this is anecdotal only as the issue of an OTG cable arises. There was some talk about them not working in games consoles as well when the mymemory reds were last on HUKD. I would love to know why the device they are plugged into determines whether they work or not.

The drive you link to is effectively USB2 ! Write speed 14MB/s read speed 25MB/s
The Grixx is 68MB/s write (min) and up to 94MB/s read (according to the blurb on their site) The one I got certainly matched that.

Would this be OK to back up lots of sentimental photographs and important info etc? I've already done the same on an external Toshiba hard drive I have although wanted to back up my back up  as I'm worried if it malfunctions at any time then I've lost everything..
(128GB is fine size wise)
Many thanks

You'll ALWAYS have the worry of a corrupt drive - same with degradation of CDs, DVDs, Floppys, Tape etc!
But, always good to have back ups of back ups - I don't see why you couldn't use this drive if I'm honest.
