Can anyone help. I ordered this for the kids for Xmas. We went to use the online code today sent via email but it says it should be a 25 number code and the one we have isn't long enough. Does anyone have any ideas where we are going wrong.!?! Thank you.

I want to buy one of these for my son for Xmas. Does it automatically go to Xbox or do u have to register and can I do it after Xmas? I don't want him to see it beforehand as he is 8 and still believes in Santa! X
If I buy this and use it on my Xbox 360, if in the next month I buy an Xbox One - will I be able to continue to benefit from Gold on the new console? (or will it be tied to my Xbox 360?)

I currently have a 360, my gold runs out 4th Dec but am getting a One later on. If I activate this on my 360, can I then use it on Xbox One when I get that later on? I wondered as it has different instructions for each console. Am I better off just renewing once I have my new console? Thanks guys

They fluctuate quite a lot so keep an eye out at places like CEX. When they were mandatory, you could pick them up for less than £20 as the market was flooded, now they seem to go for about 40-50. I also want one for my lad, so if I see any at a geed price, I'll pm you

As a person with absolutely no interest in xboxs, but with a son who is addicted, I have a question. Just bought this, given a long digit only code by cd keys. My sons current subscription runs out on 26th December, if I input this now, will it expire 12 months from today, or 12 months from 26th Dec when current one expires? Sorry to those gaming fans who will be shaking their heads at the simplicity of my question.

Depends, if he's going to play online with his mates, yes, if he'll only ever play locally (i.e. on the same TV as his mates), then probably not. You can also factor into the equation that he will get a few games for free each month (depends if he's getting a One or a 360), they are mostly crap, but I'd have some real gems in the past

He is totally trolling, basically saying that the Xbone is his media player and exclusives when he has to. Come on, the differences are pretty much non existent to the majority of users (fps and resolution etc), I personally care more about the quality of the game as opposed to 1080p over 900p. If he had said "in my opinion...." then yes, he would be "fair" but to suggest that the Xbox is massively behind the PS4 is just plain deluded sheep mentality. Power means nothing, the Megadrive was more powerful than the SNES, the master system was ,ore powerful than the NES, the PS3 was more powerful than the 360..... didn't really matter though did it

Run along little boy, no one cares, I've well aware of the PS4's "power benefit" but theres one thing that the PS4 will never be able to do.... let me play over live with my mates!!! The difference between the two systems is decreasing, only true fanboys and sheep think any different.
Thing that always makes me smile is that PS4 owners ALWAYS come onto Xbone threads to spout their crap. If the PS4 was so good, surely you wouldn't have such a MASSIVE insecurity issues over the Xbox and you'd surely spend more time PLAYING the damn things instead of slating another lump of plastic! Whos trolling? Only fanboys use that word or people who can only afford one console so wear rose tinted specs.
Ok maybe not all games if you want to be pedandic but over 90% of the games. Examples include Fallout 4, Witcher 3, Black Ops, Battlefront, AC Unity and Metal Gear V of the recent games which quite frankly is near enough all non exclusive titles worth playing.
Why do people not like unbiased statements? Do you own a PS4 as well? If not why not? They are cheap. Get a Wii U at the same time.

My lad is getting an xbox one for Christmas... we already have up-to-date Live membership on his 360, which we'll be keeping and moving to a different room. Do we need a second subscription for the xbox one, or can we log into both consoles on the same account?
Also, slightly off topic, I read that many 360 games are now playable on the One, does this include the discs or is it just downloaded content? And would that only be on the same xbox live account?

You can share the membership between two people and two consoles very easily.
User 'A' Buys the Code and activates it, and sets User 'B' consoles as there 'Home' console..
Anyone playing on User 'B's console can access and play on Xbox Live.
User 'A' uses there own console, for which they can access Xbox Live in a 'Roaming' sense - always works fine.
This works the same way with any games bought online..
e.g. Bought £55 of xbox live credit on Cdkeys for about £48 all in. Used it to buy Black ops through the store with that.
My son and anyone can play it on his console and I can play it on mine at the same time..

1.) There are plenty of ways to get cheaper psn credit. Many people pay £20 for £55 psn wallet money eg via sim cards.
2.) In the event of no discount the difference is only £15-20 per year. This is insignificant especially given all games run better and have better graphics and framerates on the PS4. I use my X1 purely for Xbox exclusives. For everything else I can clearly see that the PS4 is the better machine.
