WE use TWOOTZ for our bird feed supplies. 25Kg of pure sunflower hearts (so no seeding of your garden from this) for £28.99. We only have a small garden but this year we have had and continue to have huge numbers of Goldfinches feeding several times a day every day. Worth paying the extra for quality feed.

I have large bushes and my cat catches at least 5-6 birds a week, all he does to them is kill them and eats their liver..thats all :disappointed:

I assume he gets plenty of food so I doubt it's that. :smile:
You could try using a collar with a bell on if you don't already use one. Also if you haven't got a teaser toy, try using one to play with him regularly as it might help satisfy his instincts a little and tire him out a bit.

This would be great, but in my experience most wild birds don't have any money, so are unable to buy.

Presumably mostly barley or another useless cereal crop. Its a great price but don't be surprised if it isn't a hit with the birdies unless its really cold.
I usually buy something called no mess energy mix. This is all the good stuff, no filler and the seeds have all been part crushed and cases removed so you're only paying for 100% edible food pay around £4/kg but its all food and best bit is it doesn't end up growing lol
Also get a fat ball feeder, if the fat balls are in nets cut the nets off as they're evil to wildlife and just pop the fat balls in the feeder.
Regularly get Blue, Great, Coal and long tail tits, Robins, Chaffinch, Dunnocks in the garden not so regular but still happens Squirrels, Woodpecker and rather bizarrely a Heron and an Egret.
We have Red Kites, Buzzards, Honey Buzzard, Marsh Harriers, Montague Harrier nearby too, fantastic birds all of them

Agree totally - also there just won't be enough calories in this stuff for smaller garden birds, they need the high energy sunflower seeds, sunflower hearts, peanuts, peanut nibs, nyjer seed etc. Good bird seed will quote the calories per 100g of feed.
