we went last night as we had the 1000 points code and were told that there was no way of entering the code as it was too many digits for the till to accept. I could see the screen myself as i was standing next to the lady serving me and what she was saying was correct, unless she was trying to type it in the wrong place? It was 9 digits maximum in 3 blocks of 3 digits. The code I had was 12 digits long. I saved my receipt and code as I had intended to contact customer services but reading the above post it would seem there;s no point.

I've also had this problem in the past. Gave the clerk the Nectar code but never got the points.
Nectar customer services didn't care, even though I kept the receipt. They said the code obviously wasn't entered by PE staff at the time of payment so there was nothing more they could do! Well that's hardly the customer's fault, is it?!!!
There's no safeguard for the customer in this situation. No way of proving the code was given to the staff. (Even if the code was entered correctly, there's no confirmation on the receipt, so it just comes down to blind faith).
It's one of those classic things dreamed up by a marketing department who don't actually think/care about the practical implications of their cute little idea, or the possible things that could go wrong from a customer's perspective.

Not £10!!!!!! it's £5 as 1000 Nectar Points are Worth £5....Not £10

Yep. Same here.
I went to the Pizza Express at Watford and before leaving I asked the clerk just to be sure and she was rather a bit rude. Won't be going to that Pizza Express again.
Btw, guess I should've also used the 500 points voucher (worth £5) but it's too late now and it ends today.

Actually as it says in the title, with the DOUBLE up event, they will be worth £10.
Had a starter for £3.30, paid cash and gave the code. Checked Nectar website few mins later and I can see 1000 points. That was quick.

Just to be certain that she added 'cause sometimes the employees don't do as per the customer's request.
Thanks for the update.

you have to go on your nectar app, see that the 1000 points for a visit to Pizza Express is live on your account, then go on click website and it sends you an email which you take in/show to Pizza Express when you order
