Do these have any industry credentials at all? Unless an alarm is approved and offers tangible benefits (like lower house insurance) I'm not sure I see the benefit?

If I was about to break in to your house, or your neighbours, and your neighbour had one of these fitted, and your house didn't, guess which one I'd pick?!

I think Robert Dyas ad is wrong though isn't it. Says touchscreen and messages sent directly to phone. Does this model do / have these?

Good that we have competition. I bought a similar item at £148 at Homebase 4 years ago and Homebase refused to give me cashback. £49.99 is a real bargain. We are lucky to have a new Aldi down the road and Tesco can go *** itself. They had to print money £2 off £6 so the previously captured audience would not all deflect to Aldi in Collier Row. I forgot to use the voucher and the J** woman said I had to do a total refund to get the £2. How nasty was that? I just asked the woman at the cigarette Kiosk to give me the £2.
