All you guys that claim to have this camera...... Have you tried the slow motion feature?
I didn't reply because it literally tells you on the specs, it does 60/120/240 fps no problem and saves the video at that fps. Thankfully it doesn't do the god awful slowing down itself and ruin your footage.

Windows Movie Maker has a good slow motion mode, and a v.effective motion stabiliser (if you have W8.1 or above).
An oft derided piece of software - but it actually performs v.well. I use it on my Windows tablet when cycle touring as it is lightweight, reliable and resource efficient. On an Atom Z3740, I can render 1080P high bitrate videos (from an EOS M) in realtime - which is pretty impressive for a free editor.
(I'm hoping Microsoft releases an update for Windows 10)

Ah, interesting. I used to look at his videos a year or so back - and I didn't remember him ever doing any edits/alterations to the videos that came out of the camera.
On the strength of that video, it is clear that the 'slow-mo' feature is actually recorded at real time speed....but with anything from 30fps through to 240fps depending on the option chosen. So all slow-mo work will have to be done in post.
They don't explain how it's done (software or native).
Any idea?

13 Oct 15#44
Techmoan never does post-shooting editing on his clips. So if that review shows slow-mo videos, then that is what will be coming out of the camera. It will not have been done in post.
Any version with L on the end will have no IR filter by the way people.
I would be interested to know what the hardware revisions means, as I have a 22L.
I also have it set to record in 2k 35MBPS.

I've been undecided on this deal ever since it was posted. Given the quality control issues (lens focus/microphone/battery drain), I have decided to go for the £50 one from Amazon.
It costs a tenner more when factoring in the possible cashback from BangGood - however, it is delivered by Amazon (so all customer service would fall back on them) - and delivery will probably be in 3 days or less.

can anyone comment on the battery recording time please ?
Judging by the Amazon comments, there are various revisions of this camera. The early revisions require lens and microphone modifications. Kind of off-putting!

Great price, slightly confused on the the post though. I've tried posting deals from Banggood for the past 2+ years for RC items but it always gets removed and I receive a snarky message from a mod.

Seems, I just got lucky! Jokes apart, if you search HUKD for banggood, you'll see a few deals have been posted successfully in the past
Great little camera, just let down slightly by the lack of an LCD because the potential quality of the footage makes it very versatile to the extent you'd want to be able use it for applications where you can frame shots.
The official firmware alone has added a raft of great features but there is a pretty big custom firmware movement going on that has really helped to wring every last drop of performance from the already excellent sony sensor.

Did you choose the 'Priority Direct Mail' - 5 to 10 days delivery? ($3.71)
Or 'expedited shipping service' - 3 to 7 days? ($10)
I have this camera and for the money it is truly excellent.
The software has an update every 3 weeks or so. The latest update actually upgrades the resolution to 2.3k!
I got mine from bang good and paid an extra £4 for express delivery. It actually comes from a UK address so no extra tax to pay.
Just remember you only will get the camera and battery and USB cable. All other accessories must be purchased separately.
I bought the underwater housing (£:sunglasses:, the official bluetooth remote (£7), a desktop charger and 2 extra batteries (£11) and a generic selfie stick.
This was filmed at 1080p, make sure you set the playback on youtube to get this resolution, but bear in mind youtubes compression ruins the quality a little. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aS-31DVQhtw
The only (minor) downside of the camera is:
No screen to indicate settings, every setting needs to be changed using the smartphone app.
Slow to start up, takes about 8 seconds before you can start recording.

It says on the Amazon listing that it is camera only. That suggests there are no mounts at all, so does it fit into the Gopro frame, or the Gopro waterproof case, or has it got a tripod thread, or do you need to start buying other mounts etc? Looks good for the price, I might be tempted to eBay my Gopro....

I'll reply to myself- there a tripod thread which isn't shown on Amazon, but is shown on banggood.

Not as far as I know, the dashcam modes it added were looped recording and flip the video so the camera can be mounted upside down. There are some scripts on the dashcam forum to make it autostart recording when powered on.

The lens issue is a hardware fault...and requires disassembly/refocusing (Can be done by the end user). The microphone is also a hardware fault - though I don't know what the fix is for that issue.
The later hardware revisions solve these issues.
