So recently posted here have been the 3rd Gen xiaomi piston earphones.
These are the first gen earphones. I personally have these earphones and have had them for 1 month so far and no faults have risen compared to other earphones I purchase. Now the Blue and the pink are at £4.96 however the black and white are selling for £5.75 so if you want to save some money and don't mind the colours go for the blue or pink :)
Now these earphones have a mic and a stop and play button. So for a cheap price these are really quality earphones and sound really nice. This is also an alternative to the previous deal posted but for a different generation and cheaper price.

I bought the Piston 3 after giving away the Piston 2 to my brother. My first pair had a fault (when the mic button was lightly pressed upon the sound in the right ear decreased). I contacted Gearbest they said either pay for the earphones to be shipped back to china for repair or pay another $8 for another one. I didn't want the hassle of sending back for repair so i paid the extra $8 for the second pair. Took about 2 weeks for both pairs to arrive.
Since i got used to the fault of the original pair i sold the second pair on eBay and after 6 months the fault disappeared lol.
My advice would be to buy the Piston 2 (if you can find them) because they are better and more comfortable to wear.
Best thing about these earphones is the remote, you have the volume +/- buttons and the mic you press once to pause, double tap forward track and triple tap for previous track perfect for any Android phone users who listen to music on the go.

Piston 2's more bass heavy/more exciting. Piston 3's toned down bass/treble but both sound great i think - depends what you like. Dramatic or neutral. Found ergonomics of the Piston 3 way better so prefer the 3's. More comfortable and more stable fit in ear.
Not disagreeing with you. Just interested in different opinions

Only thing is they should do a model without remote as I don't need it and its annoying if you don't need/want it there

60 days ? They cannot be serious ! The retailer clearly has an attitude problem.
There is no way I will be ordering off this retailer.

I recently bought the 3rd gen Piston earphones from Gearbest, and selected to ship from the EU warehouse. Took a couple days for delivery and are great earphones for the price.

What's with all the Gearbest posts on here lately ?? Every one of them spawns a load of comments from people complaining about them.
It's certainly put me off buying from that company.

That's because they are as bad as people say they are. I've had similar experience with them; I ordered a tablet which they sai they had in stock in their EU warehouse. After waiting a few days without dispatch notice, I contacted them only to be told they didn't actually have it in their EU warehouse and that I should try the China one or select an alterantive product. The irony was that they were still advertising the same product as available in their EU warehouse and ready to ship out within 2 working days! To be fair to them however, when I complained, they offered me a refund right away. I've since found out that they seem to do that a lot; they advertise stuff they don't actually have in stock and only ask manufacturers for stock once they've gained a critical mass of orders

The official chinese list price is around £8 from the mi shop china. Fake versions cost around £2.5 on the Internet. You can make your informed judgement.

Ordered mine that were despatched six weeks ago and they still haven't turned up. Aliexpress have been great but up to now Gearbest have been a problem.
I have been in contact with them (via their ticket system) and they suggest leaving it another two weeks.
Doubt that I would use them again.
Sorry OP but voted cold as a deal is only useful if you get the merchandise you have paid for.

Same for me, despatched on 9th September, and still not arrived yet. Emailed them and like someone else said, told me to leave it another 2-3 weeks. I dont know where they're coming from or how they're travelling, but what kind of condition will they be in when / if they turn up is anybodys guess

£3.50 for me as I had some Gearbest points to spend, and there's potential TCB as well (pennies, but every little helps).
They've gotta be better than those nasty Skullcandy phones from last week

i would vouch for pistons, have the gen 2's and once broken in sound really, really nice. only gripe was the in-line controls only worked for android but doesn't really bother me personally. Mine came directly via bangood.

Pretty much, unless the item is so cheap it wouldn't really bother you it not turning up or taking a month, then only buy items from these Chinese sites from their European based stock. And always with PayPal or credit card with purchase protection.
Otherwise, you're taking a gamble.

Tried a few pairs of these when I was in China a few weeks back, none of them compared to the £15 Sony MDRs earphones I regularly use (which have survived the washing machine and drier 3 times so far :P ), I'd say it's worth spending a bit more.
