Currently loving my Swift.
Rear camera is good, but not spectacular. Front-facing camera is neither here nor there.
GPS has been faultless for me, which contrasts with some of the worrying reports I'd read.
The primary SIM is 4G, the secondary SIM is not. I've got a Giffgaff SIM (O2 MVNO) in slot one, and will be putting a SIM from The People's Operator (EE MVNO) in slot two.
Battery life is fine. I generally get through a full day without recharging, unless I watch a few hours of Netflix as well and then it needs a topup. While it's not "fast charging", it charges pretty quickly on a decent charger or powerbank.
It's smooth and fast, and the only bug I've encountered so far was when restoring from SMSBackup+, the timestamp info was reset. It's a CM12 bug supposedly. Everything else has worked just fine.
I had cause to ring the customer services team when I first had it, because there was a tiny visual blemish on the screen. My call was answered in about ten minutes.
I thought might be a tiny fragment of hair beneath the factory-fitted screen protector. I didn't want to remove the screen protector without checking with them first, because if it was a scratch, it would have looked like I'd scratched it myself.
They offered an immediate RMA, and let me remove the screen protector. Sure enough, it was a tiny fragment of hair or something (width of a hair, an probably less than a millimeter in length) so I didn't have to RMA it (although they said I could if I wanted).
Very happy.
Hell of a phone for the money.

Google it I just did, what I have read you can customise it a lot more that Android and make it a lot more secure, I'm tempted by this just waiting from anyone out there that actually uses it.

you'll get the best features without having to faff about, if it's just cyanogen that's not been fiddled with you'll get the latest release MUCHore quickly than any other device besides Nexus devices.
The phone will be supported for longer, get updates for longer, there won't be any bloatware like touchwiz etc, you won't be stuck with a load of rubbish you don't want but can't remove.
In short there's only positives really it's a great os

I like the look their other phone, its not release till the end of the month but think spec/price combination of that is better.
From that description it sounds like it's rooted. May have issues running some apps particularly banking if that is the case. I had a rooted sgs2 and couldn't get barclays app to work even with a number of root hide attempts.

A quick tip though for the Barclays banking app issue. My girlfriend has a similar issue with the Lloyd's banking app. I got around it by setting the web page as a bookmark, and creating a shortcut on the homescreen, so it acts like opening the app essentially.

The battery is removable (unlike the Ultra), so carry a spare if you need to for emergencies. That said it should easily last a day with a 720p display, although the default brightness on the Swift is set very bright and of course YMMV :-)

Once the Barclays app has spotted that you're rooted they flag your account so the app will never work until you phone them and promise to be good. I had this and the root cloak module of Xposed Framework allowed me to run the app on a rooted phone, but only after I had phoned Barclays and go them to remove the flag from my account.
EDIT: Other users have reported different experiences below.

I am not sure that is correct - I have a rooted S5 with CM12.1 and the Barclays app won't work. They invited me to do a beta trial (taking a photo of a cheque to have it credited to your account), so I just installed the app on my wife's vanilla Moto G and the app (and the cheque trial) worked perfectly - no need to call Barclays.
CM is just great - very configurable and uses way less power than the original TouchWiz ROM.
I know that when I rooted my phone the Barclays app complained (amongst others) and then when I unrooted it again all the others worked apart from Barclays. I googled the issue and there were other people complaining of the same issue. Phoned Barclays and they confirmed that they needed to do something at their end before the app would work again, which they apparently did and the app worked again without me having to do anything further. Having said all that I do not know if that is still the case or what form this "flag" took. It may well be that Barclays kept a note of the android ID/SIM number or other identifying info in order to only block that phone.
My experience was with rooting and unrooting the same phone and was probably over a year ago now.
Perhaps it would be better to say that if unrooting your phone does not restore access to Barclays it may be worth calling them.

The Swift is a rebrand of the Cherry Mobile One G1 and the Micromax E455 and the Turkish General Mobile 4G.
The Storm is also a rebrand of a chinese OEM handset, can't find the model right now.
This kind of thing is going to happen more often, people want the cheap Chinese handset prices and features, but with UK back up for warranty etc. It's not a bad thing per se as long as people realise what they're buying.

Wont be a problem then if it's not rooted, thanks. That process wouldn't work with Barclays though as the issue is you need pin sentry card reader or the mobile app to get in. With the app you just need a 5 digit pin. I fixed it by getting a new phone.

Nobody going to mention the issue of the USB port being recessed and the supplied lead having slightly longer connector to compensate, or the delay in supply of accessories, or the inability to purchase extended warranty or screen insurance, or support only being available by phone, or the insecure website that enter all your personal contact details on?

20 Oct 15#63
Good review thanks, the Moto 3rd gen 16GB is significantly more expensive nearly £100, with a single SIM, and non removable battery, seems a great phone but a bit pricey.
The Ultra is 5.5 inch, I think it's just too big for a phone, I was looking for a 5" display which is still a bit big.
Unlocking the Ultra may/will invalidate warranty from Voda, single SIM, and non removable battery etc.
But if the Ultra suits your requirements then it's the cheapest phone with these such great specs on the UK market.

Just bought this [Wileyfox Swift] from Amazon and so far love it.
I chose this phone primarily since I know it supports CyanogenOS [non-rooted] and also Cyanogenmod [rooted version].
There are many other phones from China, but 95% do not have a polished ROM and even if they do, for how long do you expect to get updates? Also, many from china are based on the MediaTek SOCs and MediaTek has so far chosen to not release the sources code so custom ROMs for longer term support will not likely happen.
Regarding rooting and lack of banking app support, I do not trust any phone enough to put a banking app on it.
In any case, rooting is important to me so I can block adverts, configure the firewall [iptables] and several other useful tools like Titanium backup, autorun manager, ROM backup [nandroid backup via a custom recovery], etc.
