This is just a rebrand of a chinese phone with UK bands and CM added. That's not a bad thing, just don't think your buying something other than what it is.

Received mine yesterday. Had a quick play and seems ok, keyboard is a little on the small side for me. Also doesn't come with mains plug, just micro usb charger lead, so bear in mind you'll need a plug if you don't already have an android charger.

Yes it is but with a few tweaks here and there. Not a bad phone for the price but it's not going to rock the budget-phone market.

Don't (if possible) cut corners when buying a smart phone. Yes, the price and specs sound good, but guaranteed you will get burned. A Moto X (2014) or Nexus 5 are still available to buy at a sub £200 price point if you look. Older phones but neither sluggish or unprepared.

Tweaks you mean changing the CPU ? Micromax has Snapdragon 415, while this has 410 only

It's main difference/advantage is that it is running Cyanogen and allowing you to set app permissions with Privacy Guard. This is what makes it worth buying for me.

Was looking at this phone to replace an existing Android phone, interesting comments.

Have to say I've not been impressed with the lenovo note phone. I have the rest of world Rom on it but I find it freezes more than expected and apps just stop for no reason. I might consider this new phone...

Do CM have any current release or support strategy? That used to be their great advantage, but recently I just can't follow them any more.

A super phone at a great price. Had the opportunity to play with one for a week or two. Build is nice, plenty fast, good battery life and good warranty options, this is well worth a punt.

Yes. Wileyfox will have a say in components as long as they fit the overall generic design of the phone.

my nexus 5 died at the end of august I gave the swift a go (due to lack of funds atm) and so far I'm happy with it, ok its not a £200+ smartphone and you can tell the difference, but for the price point I'm more than happy with it.

btw I got it for £120 using flubit & offered £125 on bespoke (sadly no cash back offers at the time of ordering). if you want a smartphone and haven't got the money for a £200+ one, give this a go.

I'm firmly in the budget phone camp these days and would have to think hard about paying over £149 for anything. Cyanogenmod though is a must for me so these look decent along with UK 4G bands. With proper payment apps just around the corner the lack of NFC would put me off though.

Plus the fact that SU6 also has the option to control Apps permissions means that Cyanogenmods App control is obsolete in this point. This is a great phone for the price, but I'd seriously consider the SU6 if this is your price bracket.

Edit: in fact I'd seriously consider the SU6 if your budget is double this price. Pound for double pound, nothing touches it.

Yeah I know. I think you've misunderstood. I mean a phone of SU6s quality is easily worth double it's price when comparing it to others in the £250+ price range. But at £125 it's the mobile deal of the decade. :wink:

I was tempted by one of these, but as they missed the release date and have no contact details on their website and they're vulnerable to the Poodle from running SSL3 on their website and yadda yadda

I'd have emailed them asking why they're allowing SSL3, but they don't have a 'Contact Us' form or email address

snapdragon 400 and 615 on the bigger model isn't great but what kills these phones for me is the battery, most cheap Chinese handsets have at least 3000 mah and i am talking no name Chinese phones, not even meizu, lenovo, xiaomi etc, only thing that stands out here is cyanogen which might be enough for some

I have been looking at Wileyfox's website and have been put off a little by the lack of any info updates, now that it is meant to be up for sale. I would have expected some press comments and customer feedback, plus more info on being able to buy it from their website. Nothing has changed for over a month.

Oops they have now deleted it. It was awful. Avoid this company. The usb port is non standard and only the usb cable supplied will fit the swift. When a customer queried it and complained that it was non standard they where told, suck it up buttercup!

I've seen a few posts complaining about the USB port. I have three cables to hand and they all fit it fine. If none of your other cables fit, what's the issue with using the provided one?

I'm sending mine back. GPS keeps losing signal, & it would only let me make voice calls on one sim. And yes, I did go into settings, sim cards, voice calls & change the default call sim but no matter how many times I changed to "ask me everytime" it would only make voice calls using the sim I wanted to use for data only. Plus when it did connect the call audio was terrible.
Not impressed, going back to two handsets.
