Gameware Wii U Starter Pack:
Everything you need to get started with your new Wii U:
-Screen protector
-Console carry case
-Stylus
-Screen-friendly cleaning cloth
The case is the main attraction: If it wasn't obvious, it's not actually a "console carry case" as claimed by GAME, it's a gamepad cover. The box calls it a "NEO case", but I wouldn't trust that to mean anything as it calls the Gamepad a "tablet", which is pretty much Wii U noob 101.
The case is plain black and pretty soft, about as thick as a thin jumper, which is not really a criticism. I will feel more comfortable putting it in my bag now, but I would still not feel comfortable dropping it on any hard surface. It's a snug fit, which is probably for the best, but it cannot be used while the charger is plugged in, so that's a bit of a shame.
The whole thing arrives in a surprisingly small box, which worried me at first sight until I realised the case is simply folded over (like a sleeping bag, it's just packed neatly).
The cleaning cloth is surprisingly good- I don't know if it's microfibre or whatever, and I don't know if I scratched the hell out of my gamepad and 3DS and laptop screen on a microscopic level, but it seemed to have worked fit-for-purpose and didn't show any immediate signs of wear and tear.
The spare stylus seems decent. I haven't tried using it but it has a proper nib, and it's bigger and sturdier like the type you can imagine going with a children's toy tablet. It's definitely not going in the gamepad slot as a replacement for the original, but some might find it a useful alternative.
The screen protector is just a sheet of plastic, do people seriously use these? Anyway, that's up to you.
Maybe I just wasted my time tl;dr but hope that helped somebody. :innocent:
