I'm not sure to be honest but I'm sure there'll be some deals leading up to Christmas. I'd still highly recommend getting a Wii U as there is a great back catalogue of games. Only issue is its unlikely to find the popular games, Super Mario 3D land, Zelda Wind Waker HD, Pikmin 3 etc for cheap.
May be worth getting a Wii U bundle of ebay

I understand, but sadly most of these 'collectible' items will end up in landfill at one point or another - little more than plastic tat.

I tend to collect Nintendo games as they tend to hold their value. At the moment there is no way to sell digital software so prefer the physical copy.
With the Wii U going to be phased out, you can imagine that some of the games will become very collectible in a few years.

Looking at the description on the Nintendo site, this isn't full versions of the games just 'chunks' can anyone confirm?

Yeah, it's not the full games by an stretch of the imagination.....it's basically a bunch of mini challenges from these games, with elements of them being "remixed" so cross characters, speed runs and level redesigns.
Just a bunch of quick hit challenges from each of the games. Pretty fun but got old pretty quick for me, much like Mario Maker.

Great to play some old NES games on the Wii U virtual consol. As much as I hate the exortionate prices, it's the best (legal) way to play them on a giant tv. Shame they didn't release the retail version of NES remix on the Wii U in the UK.

Why shame? The digital version or retail version, its the same game. Also, its not like the digital version takes up much storage. That and the digital version is very well priced.

yeah i never liked this. not the deal op the actual title. Bits and bobs from nes games. For the price you might as well go to the 3ds eshop and grab a few full titles.
