This is so true. My 3 year old boy loves his one steps. We bought him more complex ones but he's not ready for them yet and quickly gets frustrated or put off by them. Will save them until he's a bit older. Still think Transformers are the ultimate toy, 2 (or 3 sometimes) toys in one (car / plane etc and robot), develops hand / eye co-ordination and can be like a puzzle to convert the more complex ones!
