I have no idea what constitutes a good price for Scalextric as it's been many, many years since I bought a set.
That being said this is half price so seems good, too advanced for my kids just yet.
Seen in Asda on a wet and miserable Monday morning, also available online.

Anki Overdrive makes Scalextric look archaic, they really need to modernise it.

A friend used to have his whole garage fitted out with Scalextric. Late nights, booze and mates having a laugh. All before computers of course. Now meet up on line playing Battlefield.

I also picked this up for £60 in my local Asda last week as I wanted a set for an Xmas gift. Seemed a good option as it comes with about 1.5m more track than some comparably priced sets such as the Continental race car set which is £50 on Amazon.

Damn OOS. Why didn't I order it last night? Does anyone know if it's available in-store?

Yep. Was in my local Asda today and they had plenty.

Well that's a start at least, that it's in a store. None are particularly local to me, but it does seem a reasonable deal!
I'm sure my *cough* 3yo would love it.

Yeah, modern tech is great but I get wistful for the old days....tigs, british bulldog...all that.

Yep £150 if you can find stock. Amazon has some though.

It did that to me. I bespoked and they offered me 53 (I didn't get the £50 @malachi), and it did come back in stock, so worth checking tomorrow, plus they're in store apparently.

I think asda are missing a trick here. If its available in certain stores why cant you order and click and collect

Ordered last Thursday pm and collected from our local Asda Monday morning. It's a very cheap way of getting a lot of track to add to my sons existing - even though there's no flyover section. The cars are reasonably detailed for a cheaper Scalextric set too.
