These mini 8GB Toshiba flash drives are now only £2.49 in Robert Dyas, but they're also in the Mix & Match 3 for 2 offer, so you could buy 3 for just under £5! ...if you wanted to, you might want a can opener.
A good brand to trust, since as they proudly state on the packaging, Toshiba, inventors of Flash Memory.Got to be better than the Lexar I got from eBuyer, and a good size for me at least as I don't like putting all my eggs in one basket so to speak, or all my files on 1 or 2 drives.
Anyway, hope it's useful to some, even if only as a Christmas Stocking Filler or for those giving digital photo frames.Just an idea, but why not make a sort of USB 'mix tape' of MP3s for your OH perhaps?

Sweet idiot proof explanation, thanx for that lol. :-)
Your stated Amazon link for a variation of the OP's £2.49 Drive for £1.95 each is an Amazon £20+ 'add-on'? (so definitely not for everyone?, lol.
Ps.
Those of u rocking a valid Student Card can also get 10% off of these as standard, & those rocking a valid NUS Card can get 12.5% off of these at Rymans instead .....

The only ones I could find on Amazon at <£2 were the Toshiba THNU08HAYWHT these are thicker than the very thin model that the OP posted. Both are good drives (I have both) not crazy fast but not crazy slow like the Sandisk Cruzer low end drives. A nice mid range USB drive, in excellent packaging. The thin drive is made of a super hard and really tough plastic much strong than you would expect. Both excellent mid range drives, in well above average casing, very reliable and well made, at bargain prices.
Also worth noting the photo in the OP is the wrong one! The DR site (clicking the HUKD link seems to work) shows the thinner drive. To be fair the photos do look the same I had to look twice but the thin drive has a handle (a bump) and is capless. The fat drive has a translucent cap at one end (left of most photos of the Pack)
Worth pointing out there is free in store collection and 5% TCB Plus as the OP pointed out buy 3 for 2 and a the code for 15% that umm3 posted. Not sure what codes stack but the 15% is worth losing the TCB for if they so not stack.
Though these drives are really slim they are much stronger and better made than any of the Lexar drives that seem to use crisp wrapper plastic.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Toshiba-THNU08HAYWHT-TransMemory-Flash-Drive/dp/B00OCDQGYA This is the cheaper fat drive with the removalble (east to lose but well made cap) the RD is very slim and superbly well made at any price.
