Online play is very often frustrating. FIFA gamers who pause constantly waiting for you to DNF, watch all their goal replays 10 times, COD players who hide and fire one shot every 3 minutes, players you bail out of games midway through. Too annoying to have to constantly rely on other people and their knoob ways haha! Thank god you can play this single player as well!

Not sure you can.
Edit. Actually you can. I have now done my research and you can switch between the 3 links and play it on your own.
After playing the demo with some very frustrating online players, this is now a much better game with the single player option.

fired up my 3DS last night to try the demo, left disappointed that I needed "friends".

Great deal! I'm still able to play this even though I don't know 2 other players aren't I?

Yep it has the online multiplayer. And if one person leaves, the game ends.

Yes, you can still play the game single player (offline).
