Bought the Chocolate one yesterday and have to say that If it was the GBBO the maker would be going home!
Was like eating a Mille-feuille made out of Glasspaper, overwhelmingly sweet and not remotely tasting of Chocolate.

Strangely enough I bought the Strawberry and White Chocolate one yesterday and have to agree it was ridiculously sweet , which spoilt the cake for us

+1 on that, great carrot cake.
Tastes very similar to the nearly identically boxed and priced ones from Asda.

Do women really have to stand up and applaud every time they see a red velvet cake?

The same reason I am doing significantly less Tesco online shops(can't remember the last time to be honest). £25 minimum order was great but £40, it's a bit too much.

Not wanting to put anyone off but I had a 'not insignificant portion' of a red velvet cake from Co-op once and, how can I put this, my ahem, 'leavings' were somewhat affected for a day. Both in colour and texture.

Is this cake mix or their cafe cake?

They say you eat with your eyes - but has anyone actually tried doing that? Its very painful and you barely get any of the taste.

I really love to order online but that £4 charge for purchase under £40 is really a bummer for me.I didn't have any transportation for collection and the nearest store about 2 miles =.=:disappointed:
no wonder I see asda van frequently around my neighborhood.

Just my opinion but even "finest" cakes taste bloody awful maybe it's just because I'd rather make my own as not found a single shop bought cake that was really any good. I blame my German heritage lol.

Half the time you need a DeLorean to go back to missed better deals. The other half you need it to go forward to the other ones...
