Have been waiting for this tap to come back on offer- to replace the leaky standard one in the kitchen..Similar spring nozzle ones at B&Q and the likes would surely be around the £150 mark. Can't find it online, but deffo in stores from Monday as confirmed by other websites and their weekly offers booklet (pg 34)

The coil might look very nice now, but with limescale and all that, it might be a hell of a job to clean after 3 months. I prefer a chrome or stainless steel tube. When you buy something, you want it to look new 2 years down the road.

cut a lemon or a lime in half (lime is best) and rub on any limescale and it will make it look as new

I was about to buy something similar for £129! Wonder if the quality is ok, as I've been caught out by cheap taps in the past. The main issue being the smoothness of the handle.

I bought the Aldi equivalent about three years ago and has been faultless. No issues with limescale either (being in Scotland).

Try water softer (expensive but worth it) to get rid of lime scale issue.

Could you kindly recommend a brand please?

It doesn't say what hot water pressure is required. If you have a gravity fed hot water system, fed from a cold water tank in the roof, then this may well not be suitable for you. As it is a mixer tap, I very much doubt it.

Not all Lidl shops sell the same items, my local doesn't sell the tap :disappointed:. Which area is the leaflet from?
It's a high pressure tap and sold at Aldi for £49 2 weeks ago and Screwfix for £58.

I can't see it on my local Lidl offers, not sure why? But as pointed out above, it is in Lidl online leaflet. Confused if it will be available or not.
I have an old heating system (Potterton - boiler plus electric, cold water tank in the loft). Currenty the pressure for both hot and cold water in taps is quite enough, I hope this mixer tap will be able to mix the water. Can the pressure of hot and cold water pipes be adjusted to work / mix well, by using the stop valve on each of the cold / hot water incoming pipes?

No. I had a look into it. You need constant pressure similar to a combination boiler system. You can't use this tap with a tank system.

Many thanks Pet2000 for sharing the info. I'll look into mixer taps at local DIY stores which could work for this situation.

£37.99 and could get cheaper through Bespoke Offers, got mine for under £30
I so wanna buy this. But 3 little boys ages 4-9yrs in the house and the kitchen has new laminate floors. I will have to give this a miss. I can see them spray g each other with the tap and wetting the whole kitchen.

I have the spring mixer tap but our neighbour has similar style to the Lidl one. Theirs is so much easier to pull out and its easier to clean veggies with as it sprays like a shower head. Ours is just a tap that extends with some effort. I'm going to try and get the Lidl one tomorrow.

Spoke to Lidl - was told that they will NOT receive this tap in any UK stores as there is some issue with the supplier. The deal of basically off.
Can anyone confirm if they have seen or purchased this tap??

I was instore about ten mins after the store opened and the basket was empty- SA said 'have to be early to grab one'.. I was only a few mins late! Popped in this morning too and queried with manager who wasn't sure about when they were coming in so went away and came back too tell me exactly what above posters are saying. What a pity- I realy needed one of these (and the three yr guarantee is a bonus) :disappointed:

for those disappointed I just ordered the http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00NV2BR24?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=ox_sc_sfl_title_7&smid=A1YCCNQ0WI05S5 and it has arrived, looks brill and comes with lifetime warranty which specifies the life of the owner is how long the warranty lasts! There are two different spray heads but I went for the big plastic head as it gives you choice of 2 different sprays types and there seems slightly better reviews for that model. Packaging of tap amazing.
