Eurocarparts regularly do oil discounts This is the cheapest I can find it at the moment. They are offering an extra 10% off with code.EXTRA10. A minimum spend is required but I cant find what it is!!

Googled the oil and found some eBay links, in the item description on eBay, it says it's API SN; ACEA C3; GMW16177 (dexos2™), so I doubt it's C1 :disappointed:

Great deal. They also have this in the 5w 40 for the same price:
Benefits of using a branded oil are marginal at most.
I'd rather less than half of this price and change my oil once more a year

I don't know really but I have heard many times that cheapy oil, like the supermarket own brand stuff is essentially just cleaned used oil. Now thinking back to A-levels, the hydrocarbon chains are shorter in used oil, and its lubricating effects etc are diminished.
But yeah I agree too that cheap, but still relatively decent, more often, is the best way to go.

It says A5/B5 on the back of the bottle if that helps you.
Have you tried the link to the Shell site. That should tell you exactly what is recommend for your car.

You don't need to spend £20 to get the EXTRA10 discount. I tried it and it works.
