San Pellegrino orange flavour reduced to clear at 40p per can from 80p or 70p (not sure). Very good deal in my opinion, because these are usually never on offer so I was really happy to find them. I saw the lemon flavour a couple of weeks ago, however this one wasn't reduced to clear at that time. Orange is my favourite and in Tesco it is usually £3.80-4 for 6 cans and when on offer it is £3 for 6 cans. However at 40p it works £2.40 for 6 cans. Found in my local Asda in Goole. Might be national so worth checking if you are going to Asda any time soon. Or it might be just my local who is trying to get rid of things that nobody purchase.

It is annoying though. "Did you know this product secretly has 4.5 teaspoons of sugar in?" No because I read the content in grams like a normal person lol.

I don't think they would considering these facts have been rammed down our throats of late. The hysterical media are so hysterical about it they can't even keep the figure straight. One day I was watching the news on one channel and it was 7 teaspoons. Later on that day the same drink's sugar content had jumped to 9. Magic.

Never actually tried these before. They sell them in a Korean takeaway I often visit but don't particularly recall seeing them in too many other places.
They remind me of the St. Clements fruit flavoured soft drinks they sold in the 80's. Anyone remember St. Clements?

I'd hazzard a guess that a significant proportion of the public would nevertheless be surprised that the likes of this and Coke have as much as eight teaspoons of sugar in them in the first place. In comparison two teaspoons of sugar in a cup of tea these days seems excessive.

Checked at my local Asda store in Pershore and they only sell this as part of a six pack.
Currently £3.78 per pack or 2 packs for £6 (equivilent to 50p per can)
They're hard or chewy sweets, is it that surprising to hear they're 90% flavoured sugar? Per 100g it sounds terrible but who eats 100g? Dried fruit can contain just as much sugar, if not more, as sweets like haribo per 100g, but we are certainly not advised to avoid eating it. We are advised to limit intake to just a 30g portion that can be part of one of your 5 a day.
Even traditional sweets are very high in sugar because they're sweets meant for moderation as an occasional treat and there's no reason you can't enjoy them as such. Mint imperials are 96% sugar compared to regular skittles at 90% for example.
Personally I prefer to eat my sugar rather than drink it so would love a diet version of these. Unless it's root beer which usually has even more sugar than these drinks! :smiley:

8* As one teaspoon is approximately 4 grams of sugar and there is 32g in the can so therefore it is 8 teaspoons, not eighteen. Sugar is everywhere mate, at least it is not as worse as skittles, as 100g serving of skittles has 90.2g sugar. :confused::wink:
(You might as well just eat sugar instead, 1kg costs 49p whilst 170g of skittles cost £1)

The skittles sugar content is shocking. It appears starburst and Milky Way are other top offenders. I'm no sugar freak and we need some sugar, but beyond moderate norms these items are shocking.
These cans are a delight though. Not voting as these deals always regional stores only

Yeah I was surprised, but then I tried to think logically, when you put a skittle in your mouth and chew it it's really just a pure sugar and a coloured coating with flavor, but nothing else really. And also the Pinballs have around 70g of sugar per 100g serving as well which is unbelievable too.
