Bought one of this myself last week from John Lewis after the bundle deal back in stock. I'm not a TV expert but overall very satisfied with the quality & picture, the quick smart function interphase and the sound bar too. The sounds bar retail for £499 (Currys selling at £499 too after £100 discount). There is no 3D function but it's something that I deliberately don't want and never going to use much anyway. Comes with 5 years JL warranty as usual.

This one, so it makes it a stonking deal if you need/want it:
sony have started to roll out the HDR update on some of their 4k tv's and the TV I'm getting next month has got the HDR all ready built into it, it's best to Google this model tv and see if it will get HDR or not

When I take a photo with my iPhone 6 Plus I can't see any difference with HDR on or off. Will it be that bigger deal on the TVs market?

Sorry, it was me. In my haste, I managed to order the silver soundbar and wanted the black. Now looking to see if I can swap....as I can't now reorder!

Oops..there was still stock when deal was posted. Bundle was out of stock at least twice in the last 2 weeks before I got mine so hopefully it will be back in stock soon.

I bought with the silver soundbar (deliberately) and IMO it looks great with TV! It has a very nice quality feel brushed aluminium effect.

B*gger - just emailed now. I was deliberating from pictures whether the TV would suit it (it looks more black than brushed steel online) - thanks for the heads up.

Q. Can you hang this on a wall?
A. No, it's no longer 'cool' like it was in 2005 when only a few people could afford a 'flat' TV

If you're in no rush to replace your 1080p/720p set, wait for OLED. LG's is by far the best TV you can buy and that's LG, just wait for Panasonic to release theirs. Give it a couple of years and there'll be the magic point of content and right price.

Yes likely. It was out of stock at least twice in the last 2-3 weeks when I was looking around before I got mine. Just keep watching.

sony x9005c, sony guy at the Sony store in Wolverhampton told me 2 weeks ago that the HDR update will be already set up on the TV when I will get it, 2 weeks on and apparently the update has started rolling out since last week
