I don't normally come in on iOS vs Android arguments as it's generally like arguing about colours with a blind man, but wth.

I left Apple for an S6 Edge after having every iPhone from the 3GS onwards and I'm considerably more impressed with Samsung. I have no issue with the battery life. Several days out using the phone quite a bit for browsing and photos then using it to stream music in the car on the way home have left it with ample battery come bedtime. It wouldn't do another day, but it made it through the day and that's all I need from a phone. There's less bloatware than on an iPhone and what there is is more useful, marginally, but still more useful. The screen and camera knock the iPhone 6 into a cocked hat - I haven't seen the 6S, but from how far ahead the Edge is then it's still not going to be as good. Coming from Apple the lack of external storage and removable battery didn't concern me in the slightest.

This is a great price for a great phone, but I'd say push for the 64GB version if you can stretch to it. More storage is always good

Carphone Warehouse is still selling this £349.99 in any colour fully unlocked, so voted cold. Still a good price, but more than you'd need to pay.

i know someone who bought one and it is free from bloatware unless you bought locked to a network.

No, silly. I went through all that to unlock the phone and then when I came to sell it I checked on ebay and all the rooted phones went for quite a bit less so put a stock rom back on. It didn't like it at first and wouldn't boot but a quick reset was all the at was needed and it reset itself to the stock rom I had installed.

One really scary thing though is when I put the stock rom back on all my files were still there. They didn't appear on the phone but when I plugged it into the laptop I could see them all. It must have backed them up when I put the stock rom back on even though I didn't do a back up. Deleted the files manually, reset the phone again and this time they were all gone. All that for an extra 20 quid lol. I enjoyed doing it though. Best thing is I put the T Mobile rom back on it, yet it was still unlocked to all networks.

​I'm not finding the screen activating anymore than my iPhone 6 did in my pocket. As long as you remember to lock the screen before putting it in your pocket then it should be fine.

Shame about the LG G2 style lack of expansion port.

Hey guys, I'm not really good at the phone stuff but I was just wondering what are the best 5 phones out right now? Android only please! I need to buy a phone for my mother and since my dad has an Android she wants one too just so she can get help with it when needed.

Lots of people do it. However, if you do it properly, get the correct insurance and indemnity, report to the hmrc etc, I don't know how much you will make. You would have to sell a fair few phones to even break even.

The above is the reason why I'd almost never buy from someone like you. The chances are that things will not be done correctly as it costs too much so a buyer is on shaky ground from the moment you get their money.

Bear in mind last xmas eve Vodafone dropped the S5 half price down to £279, i rushed out to get one. Good chance the S6 will get a fair bit knocked off it around that time.

That's not too many lol. I have seen a lot of these files when looking at my phone when plugged into the laptop and often thought what would happen if I just deleted them. Has anyone tried. Could be a lot easier than installing a custom rom. That was not too bad when I did that on my S2 but it got a bit scary when I sold it and put the stock rom back on when it wouldn't boot up. Sorted it in the end though thanks to Mr. Google.

The Galaxy S6 Edge is also selling direct from Amazon right now too. Available in White & Black. Not sure if it was a good deal or not but I got the White Edge for £459.99 (which seems to be unavailable again now). They have the Black in stock still for £444 (or Market Place seller for £429.99).

Let's hope there is going to be an LG G4 and Samsung S6 price war. Plenty of winners if it happens. I remeber when the xbox 1 was launched and I posted a couple of comments on here saying that if my 360 broke I wouldn't buy an xbone until they came down to £200. Feedback was that will never happen. Well just under 2 years on and not far away are we. Saying that there's nothing wrong with my 360 so why should I change. Oh damn gone off at a bloody tangent again.

It's still too expensive and needs to keep going. Not hot for me or cold either but another 50 notes less and that will be the wife's christmas present. A bit scary not having a removable battery though as she only gets a day out of her s4 as she's constantly on facebook.

It's a great phone but having still as backup an S4 with 128gb uSD and new battery - the S6 won't have the same longevity...

I only just get through the day with the OnePlus One battery so I'd not stand a chance with the S6 battery. Nice looking phone at a decent price if you're a light user or can charge at work/portable battery pack.

it's pretty bloatware free actually, and also allows you to remove a lot of pre installed stuff. Great phone, good price.

I agree with Shaky and I'm about as far from an Apple fanboi as you can get!
There are better Android based phones than this and cheaper.
Every Samsung tablet / phone that's ever passed through this household has ended up with a custom ROM on it. Most of them are pretty great after that. I'm especially impressed with my son's SG Tab S 8.4 with CM12.1.

Because I always use that Stock app that iOS installs and wont allow me to remove, or newstand, or anything else I can't remember since owning an iPhone!
