For those who have not seen/used one of these deals before. When the deal is confirmed all the points you will earn will be visible when you go into the product you are buying. At the moment the products are only showing the usual 5x points. If you buy now, I very much doubt you will have any chance of claiming the 25x points. As others have said..........DO NOT BUY AT THE MOMENT!!

Bum. I wanted to use them all on one purchase.
Do you know if I can use the 10% off code whilst paying in points?

Don't worry - the 5x points aren't normally awarded until the order status changes to "complete" rather than "shipped", which is usually around a week after delivery.
As above, these 5x points won't expire, it's just the 20x that you have to use or lose in the next few days.

I've also only got 20x points. My order had an attempted delivery yesterday and rescheduled for today. No sign of the 5x points.

28 Oct 151#109
I can confirm that since posting in the early hours of this morning when the 20x points appeared, one of my big orders that I received last week has now changed to "completed" and the other 5x worth of points has now appeared in my account as "regular points" and not "limited time points". For my other two orders which were pre-orders I've had the 20x limited time points credited and will therefore now presumably get the other 5x when those orders are completed.
So panic over!

28 Oct 15#105
Actually I wonder if the other 5x points will show up later once all the orders are marked as "complete" rather than "shipped" or "awaiting despatch" - that's what usually happens with the reward points.
Perhaps they're just awarding the additional 20x bonus points now with the "standard" 5x points adding on as they normally do and it's just the 20x bonus points that have to be used in this few days and the 5x will be permanent i.e. not expiring.

I've got a load of points awarded but less than I was expecting, been trying various permutations to work out what I should have got as I wondered if maybe some purchases didn't count - but yes, having seen the posts on here I've only been credited with 20x on all purchases.

They only gave me 20x points.
I bought items £289.95 and I only got 5780 points
By my maths, that's just under 20x, as 20x would be 5799 points
Anyway this is not 25x.
Did anyone else only get 20x points?
I will be calling them tomorrow, but just a thought, it's 5x points normally, maybe it was 20x super points which they promised today, but the 5x normal points might add later on, just a thought... It's either that or they screwed up.

Was that from an order during the qualifying period, and did you spend £200+ in total during that period? I made and received an order of a £200+ item and haven't got any points at all yet - however they did say that the points would be awarded on the 28th, i.e. tomorrow.
I also took the risk of making an expensive pre-order which is due to be delivered tomorrow - if I don't get the 25x points on that one it's going back.

Are the two sets of terms above any different - why post again?
Also, what happens if you spend the points and also return the phone - I had to return mine due to fault but they'll not receive it by 28th - points date?

Not really - the item would be shipped on 27th October. To get the extra points I'd need to order before the 25th, but I wouldn't know if the points have actually been awarded until the 28th!
I've emailed Rakuten to hopefully get a definitive answer in writing.

I'm wondering whether pre-orders would still count towards the £200 for this promotion? It's not mentioned in the T&C. They don't usually award the reward points until after the item is shipped, but if this is going to be after the 25x points redemption window ends would they still award the points now to enable them to be spent next week?
Obviously if the order was later cancelled or returned they'd be fully entitled to take the points value back, but I'm hesitant to make a fairly expensive pre-order now not knowing whether I'd get the points or not - without the 25x points it's not a great price, with the points it is!

I can't work out if this one would qualify: http://www.rakuten.co.uk/shop/pixelelectronics/product/Apple_Ipad_Air_2 - would that be classed as through a Rakuten.co.uk account and is £200 or more?

I've made an order today, not under this £200 promotion, but for a PS4 game costing about £40. It showed that I'd be earning 200 points. I applied a 10% voucher, then used about £22 worth of points from a previous promotion that were due to expire at the end of this month, and now it's put the total amount down to around £15 but is still saying that I'll be getting 200 points.
Whether or not they'll adjust that in due course, who knows...

Hi Tom,
Thanks for getting in touch regarding the 25x SuperPoints promotion.
I apologise for the confusion, as not all purchases will earn the promotional points the site isn't automatically calculating how many points you would get from the promotion. As long as your order is made through a Rakuten.co.uk account and is £200 or more you will be eligible to receive the points.
Any points you earn from this promotion will be credited to you on the 28th October and available to spend until the 2nd November.
Please be advised that the points are capped at 40000 per account.
I've included a link below which has some items on sale during this promotion:

Yep just got an email from Rakuten stating that the offer is not actually going to show up on the site as it is only when you spend more than £200 over all transactions during the offer period. They will then total the amount of points to a maximum of 40000 (£400) and add it to your account on 28th October and you have until 2/11 to spend them. So, expect the website to be down during those few days or at least the prices to sky rocket!

Are you sure? The example they give suggests the multiplier is applied to the whole thing. They say spending £201 gives you 5025 points, but if it was only for every £1 over £200 then it would say either 1025 or 1030 points (Depending on whether the 25x bonus is in addition to the 5x points or if it replaces it)

As soon as my order was completed, I received the points in full. As far as I can tell, the point total under the item is the total you'll get, just screen shot it if you're worried and rectify it when/if it's incorrect on receipt of points.
The rakuten customer service is very good via telephone, merchants on the other hand..,

I always have bought items from rakuten ever since they started the new site. However be very careful as a lot of the shops are very dodgy. I have already had to start the process of raising 2 separate disputes for not receiving an item and the seller refusing to help. So stick to sellers you know of. If you could use PayPal it would be much better but I recommend using a credit card as easier to dispute if something goes wrong.

The newsletter also has items under £200 showing with the 25x bonus
Sounds like they've messed up a bit but hopefully later today will be resolved but I don't fancy taking a punt until it's confirmed.

T&C are a mess, sounds like number 4 has changed recently and number two on site reads as follows:
The promotion starts on 29.09.2015 at 00:00 GMT and ends on 05.10.2015 at 23:59 GMT (the "Promotional Period")

The newsletter & website confirm its from today:
The promotion starts on 19.10.2015 at 00:00 GMT and ends on 25.10.2015 at 23:59 GMT (the "Promotional Period").
Be careful guys....just spoke to customer care and they can't see this information on their system. I am holding off my order for now. I just forwarded the newsletter to them to verify the information.

They are updating the terms and conditions. Looks like a copy and paste for some of it from their birthday promo of x25.
I'd leave it a few hours, i think we'll get x25 on every £1 we spend as it's not the first time they have offered this.
I just want to make sure my order goes through listing my points earned correctly.

The other thing I noticed from the T&C from the email:
"5 The Super Points will be allocated to the customer’s account on 28th October 2015.
6 The Super Points received during the Promotional Period will only be valid until 2nd November 2015 and after this date they can no longer be redeemed."
Very small window to use them.

That's my thought - holding off until there's a little more clarification.

Pretty sure it's 25x on whole purchase going by what I see on the email I got sent ses the £999 Cooker ses you get 25k

And basing the outcome on what you hope it is, isn't the way to do things. Everything contradicts on there, you're better off waiting until they sort it out.

The newsletter seems to point to the 25x points on the entire purchase.
The cooker is £999 & you get 24975 super points for that.

Taken from the T&C:
"4 There is a minimum spend of £200 during the Promotional period (sum of all transactions) in order to qualify for this Super Points promotion and customers will receive 25 Super Points for every £1 spent from £200 upwards on all purchases completed on http://www.rakuten.co.uk during the Promotional Period. For example, if a customer spends £201 during the Promotional Period, they will receive 402 Super Points."

Reckon Rakuten heading for big crash as their website has lots of conflicting claims
X5 or X25?
When to claim?
when points are added?
Reliability of its sellers? Customer service?
Surely they cannot go on like this both financially and supply wise?

Their terms and conditions for this offer is all over the place
4) There is a minimum spend of £200 during the Promotional period (sum of all transactions) in order to qualify for this Super Points promotion and customers will receive 25 Super Points for every £1 spent from £200 upwards on all purchases completed on http://www.rakuten.co.uk during the Promotional Period. For example, if a customer spends £201 during the Promotional Period, they will receive 402 Super Points.
Not only have they miscalculated how many points you will get for your purchase, the way it's worded means you only get 25x points for what you spend over £200. So that to me says if you spend £201 you get 25xpts for the £1 not the £200
Plus when you read the newsletter if you work out the points they have listed per item it's x25 on the full price. So the terms and conditions don't match the newsletter.
If the deal is on all week, i'd wait until they clarify what they are doing.

Do you know if I can use the 10% off code whilst paying in points?
As above, these 5x points won't expire, it's just the 20x that you have to use or lose in the next few days.
I've also only got 20x points. My order had an attempted delivery yesterday and rescheduled for today. No sign of the 5x points.
So panic over!
Perhaps they're just awarding the additional 20x bonus points now with the "standard" 5x points adding on as they normally do and it's just the 20x bonus points that have to be used in this few days and the 5x will be permanent i.e. not expiring.
I also took the risk of making an expensive pre-order which is due to be delivered tomorrow - if I don't get the 25x points on that one it's going back.
Also, what happens if you spend the points and also return the phone - I had to return mine due to fault but they'll not receive it by 28th - points date?

That's 25x for the TOTAL amount, not on the amount above £200 like you claim.
I've emailed Rakuten to hopefully get a definitive answer in writing.
Obviously if the order was later cancelled or returned they'd be fully entitled to take the points value back, but I'm hesitant to make a fairly expensive pre-order now not knowing whether I'd get the points or not - without the 25x points it's not a great price, with the points it is!
Has anyone bought from them? They say they sell UK models but the price they sell at suggests grey imports.

Hi Tom,
Thanks for getting in touch regarding SuperPoints.
If you purchased this Xbox One for £265 you would earn 6625 points which is the equivalent of £66.25 to spend on the site.
Just drop me an email if you need anything else and I'll be happy to help.
Have a fab day!

I'm still not convinced!
I can't work out if this one would qualify:
http://www.rakuten.co.uk/shop/pixelelectronics/product/Apple_Ipad_Air_2 - would that be classed as through a Rakuten.co.uk account and is £200 or more?
How did you get hold of the 10% voucher?
Whether or not they'll adjust that in due course, who knows...
Time to get an xbox one i think
Thanks for getting in touch regarding the 25x SuperPoints promotion.
I apologise for the confusion, as not all purchases will earn the promotional points the site isn't automatically calculating how many points you would get from the promotion. As long as your order is made through a Rakuten.co.uk account and is £200 or more you will be eligible to receive the points.
Any points you earn from this promotion will be credited to you on the 28th October and available to spend until the 2nd November.
Please be advised that the points are capped at 40000 per account.
I've included a link below which has some items on sale during this promotion:

Can you please post the full email response content please?
Me too, looked at numerous items £200 plus and only giving 5x points.
From the T&C's
For example, if a customer spends £201 during the Promotional Period, they will receive 5,025 Super Points.
201 X 25 = 5025
I'm going to wait and see, but I had no problems with the last x25 offer a couple of weeks back when I bought a Z4 tablet and PS4 - I got a shed load of points which I've since spent and also a load of TCB cashback.
And I didn't consider even the 20x offer worthwhile unless you have specific 2 items of value x and 0.2x you want, they are for most stuff far too expensive...
I'd advise waiting for the second/third day, or for Rakuten to respond to a request for clarification.
Order Total
£ 270.95
(VAT is included)
Points to be earned
+ 1,325 Points
- postage and that is x5 points. Until it automatically processes with the correct amount of points i'm not ordering.
Just ordered Nexus 6 32GB Blue for £295 - £73 (in points) - £10 (3.5% Quidco) = £212!!!
If they don't give me the points then i'll send the phone back!!!

All of these are priced higher on Rakuten than Amazon by some margin. The points are a bonus and sometimes mean you are better off but it's not as great a deal as it seems to start with.
As soon as my order was completed, I received the points in full. As far as I can tell, the point total under the item is the total you'll get, just screen shot it if you're worried and rectify it when/if it's incorrect on receipt of points.
The rakuten customer service is very good via telephone, merchants on the other hand..,
Perhaps whoever put the email together should have put 00.00 on the 20th and the promo doesn't go live until midnight tonight?
Not touching this with anyone's bargepole until this is all clarified.
The Super Points received during the Promotional Period will only be valid until 2nd November 2015 and after this date they can no longer be redeemed.
Not long to use them. Luckily i want an xbox one so once confirmed it's x25 on the full price i'll order and i'll be ready to order some games in that very small window to use the points.
If it's not included you have no comeback whatsoever. I would wait until it is listed in the payment/invoice.
£215.00 x 5 = 1075 points
