Thats exactly what I was thinking
These are only a £1 anyway on offer and thats the price they should be, I remember when they were a pound and suddenly they got hoiked up 50p out of nowhere and stayed that way...Always wondered why nobody questioned it and was it just me that noticed massive price rises across the board on products overnight..Don't know whether it was manufacturers or retailers, but it happened and no one batted an eyelid and thats why we all get taken for fools nowadays and shops rise there prices almost every day

40% owned by a bigger parent company, thats all.
I just find it funny that people with no interest or like the "Product" or the "Deal" it comes with, want to comment on it-just move on to something you do like, or think is a good deal.
Last time i looked, this was still called HOTUKDeals, not HOTUKopinions.

Totally agree it's a great offer trouble is there's a lot of people on here that try drumming up discount stores offers no matter how terrible they are. I have seen Aldi offers on here that have gone hotter even though someone has posted another deal where you can get it cheaper elsewhere

Maybe because they were £1.50 2 or 3 weeks ago. Strange how they've gone up in price when they are obviously clearance stock. Still great deal if you want to use a sports day pass. I got 3 packs for my 3 accounts when they were cheaper.

Pointless comment which you have no interest in.
It's a good deal end off. A sports pass alone is £6.99, so how can it not be a good deal.

To me, the "deal part" is th pass. Likeeveryone else has said, Pringles are only worth £1 each anyway. That said, try buying them on a flight over £2 and you only get the little ones.

I find this with the Uncle Bens Rice too. They put the price up above £1 and nobody buys them. They come back down to £1 and shelves are cleared in my local Co-op. Its been up and down at least 10 times in the last year. People are simply not willing to pay more than £1. Same goes for these.

Question: do these Pringle Now TV passes count in the same way that the Carling ones did, eg. do you get a 5 per account limit or anything?
Before anyone says, "just use a different email address", I've already used about 10 address and I've run out of card/account combinations :stuck_out_tongue:

Looking at the FAQ on https://www.bigmatch.pringles.com/uk/Home it looks like one pass per pringles account, where you enter the two codes from the tubs into the pringles website to receive the tv pass.
Not tried registering with pringles to see what info required and therefore how easy to bypass the rules if more than one pass desired.

To be honest only looked as thought it might be for the normal tv package or movies. Giving up crisps and fizzy drinks done my teeth wonders. When you factor in dental/health costs of junk food. Its not a deal. Personally think a sugar tax is long over due and while the health costs of junk food are picked up by everyone in society, got every right to comment.
So yes will point out they stick to your teeth and get in the gaps and rot you teeth while providing empty calories of very little value to your body.
I won't stop others buying and eating may even provide them for a party, but rather people thought twice about the real cost. Am also not a fan of sky as a company feel it has distorted the market its attempt to control and sports movie rights push up the costs and its political bias. So honestly for me its a poor deal, had it had a months tv, or a weeks movie pass then it would be hot.

He's right though. The empty calories and health problems just aren't worth it in the long run if you're the kind of person that eats these regularly. A moment on the lips, a lifetime on the hips. (Just a saying but has some truth.)
I would only buy Pringles occasionally, and only if they're £1 and not a penny more. (They don't last long by yourself
let alone if you share....so hardly worth £2 or whatever some retailers charge these days).
And Sky's owners should get alarm bells ringing. (Rupert Murdoch.)
Right wing bias is strong in Sky News, Daily Mail and other Murdoch properties (whatever his sharehold).
But that's not the reason I don't like the offer.
I just don't like watching people kick a football on grass for 90 minutes, know what I'm saying...
(Really, people often just care about the score and the social aspect of watching with mates and judging if a ball went into the net or not....most of the show is running lol)
But that's just me. Would have been great if it had 1 - 3 months of normal telly or movies
but a sports day pass..... I'll pass.
Otherwise an ok price for 2 Pringles tubes.
Just my two cents.
robin5858
22 Oct 15#39
I think the reason that Pringles jumped up in price in one go was the fact they lost a vat tussel with the tax people.
So they added the tax on the price.

Sorry for the potentially stupid question...............Once you plug the code in and get the months free tv, do you have to cancel it? Does it change onto a charged thing without intervention?

It's a sports day pass - https://www.bigmatch.pringles.com/uk/Home I.e. you can use it to watch sports for a 1 day on nowtv
Its not like the movies where you get a month subscription - so you don't have to cancel anything, there's no risk of getting charged.

Guessing the website totally messed up the promotion dates on the FAQ's. On another note does the Sports Pass let you watch the Sky F1 Channel as well?
"How long does this promotion last?
You can enter from 20/08/15 until 31/03/15 while stocks last. The Sky Sports Day Pass expires on 30/06/16. "
Though guessing the T&C's shows the correct dates!
"Promotion Period: Applications must be received between 00.01 on 01 August 2015 until 23.59 on 31 March 2016."

Honestly wouldn't have cone into the deal if it had been better written and stated sports day pass. Think a fair amount of heat was people that value the movies and tv passes.
As for why comment on deals that have a view on. Not much of a discussion if everyone has to have the same view and narrow perspective. Better if we don't group think. I wasn't trying to troll anyone and while it's still socially acceptable to eat junk we all pay for it in the long run if it's not reduced. These sort of promotions don't help. Staying quiet while watching people you care about harm themselves can be your choice. If it makes people think twice and can lead to some getting the information they need to make a healthy change that's good.
Yes I do eat all types of fruit too and as for fruit juice no not really except as a rare treat. Fruit juice has lost the fiber and lot of the goodness.
Problem I find with these sort of foods is after I think was it worth it and answers no. Sometimes I drink a bit of alcohol knowing the risks and it's a choice I make that I am accountable for. It's not good for me or society so they add additional tax. Believe given sugar is subsidised we should tax it more to discourage it's use back to healthier levels. At the same time healthier foods should be made cheaper.

I find it suspicious you actually know the share or searched it up....not something a normal person would do.
Why are you defending Sky? I'm not saying all divisions are corrupt but you can't say it's a saint of a company at all.
(Least of all because of the tax avoidance....a right wing haven. Leeching off the poor yet not giving proportionally back
to the working class which made it possible for these tychoons to get this rich in the first place.)
And how does 40% sharehold (if that's even correct)
at all negate the point that Rupert Murdoch is heavily involved in the company and should get "alarm bells ringing"?
"40% that's all".
Oh hey guys....I only failed 40% of my test....don't worry I got 60% I got a C!!! I'm SO GOOD. -_-
LOGIC.
It was just a point to make people aware of the many Newspapers that are right wing biased.
(I don't mind left wing biased because they usually tell the truth but right wing brings corruption and other unethical practices at every corner.)
(I'm hoping most people here are left wing....would make sense considering the purpose of the website
and also because left wing is a more moral ideology that does NOT discriminate against the poor unlike right wing ideology.)
And just because someone comments on something they "don't like" doesn't mean
they can't have an opinion. Besides, I said I do like them and eat them occasionally.
If you can't read properly, don't attack others for your mistakes in comprehension.
Also, is this website called "HOTUKfacts" ? I didn't think so.
You've got the misconception that you're ONLY allowed to write "good deal....or bad deal"
which is stupid and reductionist, I bet hypocritical when someone catches you do the same.
Opinions, facts and reasoning (which I have given)
contribute to helping people judge if a deal is for them. (Or even just food for thought which
is perfectly fine....since when is this website "strict".)
I also gave a balanced view (I liked the pringles but I know they're not good for you and the price of £1 should
be standard).
You're being overly aggressive for no reason.
And you're wrong.
Good day, I hope your ways of thinking improve.
