Even if you're not swayed by the atmosphere of the football match, the gameplay on pes is miles ahead. Players (AI) are intelligent and move into spaces, the passing is much more fluid and scoring goals is much more satisfying.

Fifa has the bells and whistles, but I'd prefer of people didn't buy a game to stare at menus :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah I'm with you on this one but switched to FIFA from PES think it was FIFA 09, can't remember exactly but since that switch not a lot has changed like you say COD syndrome, PES has just been floundering around in sunday football standards for years.
They seem to have given up trying for perfection and just got back to their basics now, which I like, it's a bit like the old days.
Wish they'd have kept that formula from years ago and not bothered trying to outdo FIFA on production values, totally pointless and just ruined everything, still seems like a penny dropped somewhere.

Great game this year once you add the option file for BPL. Commentary sucks but gameplay is excellent. Glad I chose it over FIFA this year.

FIFA 12 was my switchover point. Loved PES 2010 as the first time Wolves were officially included, and playing with them in the Champions League mode. But then 2011 removed the usual camera angle, and online play was always diabolical.

Still use PES controls with FIFA but 99% of my games are FUT and having tried the PES demos over the last few years it just doesn't compete for me, which is a shame.

Tried this year's PES and it does seem to play better, but FIFA has turned into the equivalent of COD, so isn't going away any time soon.

PES owns Fifa this year plain and simple.

Pes is absolutely superb this year.. I have installed the option file added all correct names and kits for.most leagues (which BTW the list look incredible).. Gameplay is absolutely spot on especially passing which is a joy.... So glad pes has finally got its act together only taken it 10 years!! I've been a hardcore FIFA fan since ps3 but pes wipes floor for gameplay this year...

Haha fully agree with you on the game play ans Ai but that's what's so frustrating how hard is it to nail the commentary and make the crowd response better and on top of that Im having to put of starting my master league due to squads not being updated even tho games almost been out a month. So i am ignorant as i prefer PES? I have tried PES and FIFA every year and always prefered PES, no matter what year of release. I for one go for gameplay only and dont really care if i play as Merseyside Reds. Not sure why you feel my comment is ironic, but then i feel your comment is moronic.

Really wanted pes to beat fifa this year but sadly it didn't. It's come a long way though and next year may finally be it's year

Currently playing this - gameplay is certainly better than fifa, but everything else seems meh.
