Not so much a deal although you can donate as little as you like but the suggested donation is £5 and it all goes to a great cause. I did this last year for my daughter and she loved it. Hope this is ok to post.

Yes and the good CEO's then have the strategic ability to pull in millions for the charity. Naivety on such things is not helpful. Yes it is a lot of money but if you don't pay that they go to other sectors and the charity losses out. Try and understand the way these things work rather than just having a pop about something you don't understand.

Wow, taking advantage of a children's charity.... not very festive is it! Yes it's suggested donation, but at least leave a donation to cover printing and postage!

I haven't yet received my Letter from Santa? Is it on its way?
The Letter from Santa Team have been working hard to resolve an issue and have delayed letter printing to ensure your order is dispatched correctly.
Letters ordered before 30 November will be dispatched by 6 December.
Letters ordered from 1 December will be sent 10-14 working days after submission.
All letters will be delivered in line with Royal Mail Christmas posting deadlines. Overseas and early orders will be prioritised. You will receive a dispatch email confirming delivery times as your letter is processed this week.
If you haven’t received your letter by 15th December, contact the Supporter Services via email.

Thanks haven't either. I can't remember what date it came the last time. I did get what looked like junk mail from them suggesting a donation for the letter but I just thought it had crossed. I obviously made donation when I posted this so don't see how thy would send another letter telling me about it if they had my initial donation and letter ready by they did take may payment as it came out my PayPal x

I've done this for a few years now. They really are lovely letters. I think the suggested donation of £5 per letter is a bit high especially if you have a few kids to buy for in different houses. My parents are foster carers and it's nice for the kids to each have a personalised letter to take away with them when they move on. I made 4. 1 for my son, 1 for my sister and 2 for the foster kids. I donated £10.

Homer: And uh, what if I wish to pay... zero?
Clerk: That is up to you.

I have done this a few times, but one year we got a what sounded like a sales call harassing us about donating monthly. Not just asking, he was pressurising me quite a lot.
I don't appreciate those sort of tactics. Just a warning, unless you don't mind that kind of thing I'd avoid giving them your phone number.

That's why you give them a false (or an old) one! I did donate however, I'm as sceptical as anyone when it comes to big charity organisations, however in instances such as these they are providing a quality service and therefore should at least be reimbursed as such IMHO.

I didn't suggest that you weren't intending to be condescending - I was merely underlining the fact as part of a post to provide the full executive pay details the NSPCC voluntarily and openly publishes, which clearly (from WillWhitelaw's post) is relevant to some who might want to take up this "deal".
I've happily donated to the NSPCC in the past.

It was supposed to be condescending. This is a deal site. Not a forum for social equality. If people kept responses to the deals rather than posting comments of pay the would be no need to talk down to them.
