Is this company still around LOL
Panasonic certainly flopped. Want a TV go for Samsung or Lg.
Sony are awful. They seem to have some issue with DSE on most of their 2014/2015 models.

Rubbish. LG in particular sell because they are cheap. Only one step over Vestel in terms of reliability. Samsung are only okay as well. God help us all the day they represent the quality end of the market.
At least Panasonic do still manufacture TVs, for the time being.

It just depends what you want it for. If you want it for gaming, watching fast moving sports, or regular film viewing, spend some more & get a better set with decent motion processing, good contrast & the ability to create decent blacks mutually means an led backlight instead of edge lit.
If you want it to watch soaps, reality TV & other typical entertainment or kids shows then it'll do the job. Vestel sets use **** components, but as John Lewis give a five year guarantee as standard (i believe), then it shouldn't be an issue as you'll be a able to swap it when it fails.
