Ask at the desk, I often find these kind of deals in Curry's are behind the desk, perhaps for security reasons or... your guess is as good as mine... but if behind the desk, in a pile, not front cover outfacing and no deal cards on them, how are customers supposed to know they are there? I pointed to a pile and asked the assistant to look again. The best way to phrase it, I find, is to ask if they have SSD drives, then ask to see what they have and then ask could they scan a few for prices. It's not as though the stores I visit are terribly busy, at the moment, so I'm not sure why some of these deals don't seem to hit the shop floor, in some of the stores. I know there are security concerns but surely the empty boxes could be put on display?

Well your filter is working as this isn't a local type of **** as you put it.
Currys deals will always be national. The issue here is whether any local stores have stock left, simple as that.
