In what way is this any different to a normal blender save for the fact it has a 'trendy name' and costs more? Most food processors mixers and even stick blenders will do the same and a lot more besides for similar money !

Yes, this is more convenient. You don't even need a cup so that's one less thing to wash. If you're not lazy then yes you could get something else. But a lot of people pay for convenience these days.
And a stick blender is going to be very messy if you want to add ice.

The difference for me is that I actually use this because of the extreme convenience and ease of use. My wife asked the same question as you but now that she's seen it in use she's a complete convert, so much so that I've ordered a second Nutribullet. Doesn't take up much space either

How is it better ? As long as it liquidises that's it !
The stick blender I have came with an ice crusher and a spice grinder, both totally sealed. I take it that you do still have to wash the container with this nutri bullet thing?

You do have to wash it but the design makes it so much easier to wash. I was sceptical until I tried one and they are brilliant. Use it every morning, takes literally a few seconds to wash as the blades unscrew from the cup. It's very powerful for its size, has a very small footprint on the worktop and the blade design ensures everything is blended very smoothly. Yes, you could achieve the same thing with other products, but few will give you all the same benefits. I know for a fact if I had to use my old blender instead I wouldn't use it half as much because of the hassle of cleaning it, and it's big and bulky so I wouldn't leave it on the worktop.
