don't take it to heart - there's been some wonderful clearance deals posted recently for the 2DS, with prices going as low as £40 once -->here.
I personally saw 2 or 3 in my local branch of ASDA one evening going for £65, but thought better of posting it as I was certain they'd disappear very quickly (that and I hate in-store clearace deals).
long story short: the users here get used to seeing retailers "race to the bottom" with pricing, then we get one or two unique instances where one retailer tries to clear all their stock for a rock bottom price and everyone thinks "that's the new RRP". misguided, sure - but that's expectation for you. as mentioned above; don't take it to heart. every deal posted helps someone, whether it's hotter than the sun or not.
oh, and welcome to HUKD

two things worth mentioning:
1. The game is pre-installed on the console - you don't get a cartridge.
2. The game is the "special edition" version, which comes with all the DLC.

NSMB2 has DLC? Huh.
2DS also has horrible washed out colours and only has one audio channel (it's stereo if you connect via headphones or whatnot).

This was posted last week and at the time you could also get a zelda hat. Still hot though

2DS is such an old model and old technology the chance of it getting heat on here will be slim.

3ds has 3d, folds and has stereo speakers. Rest of hardware is same as 2ds.
The 3DS is also an old model, and is frequently available for cheap as chips. My point was more about the 3DS XL with longer battery charge, larger screen and simply a better console. Even the 3DS XL now has a 1st gen and a 2nd gen version. Buy the 3DS XL even if you don't intend to use the 3D option, and ideally get the 3DS XL 2nd gen unit.
