Only 2GB but what a great price for a very respectable GPU. Includes the awesome Dirt Rally game from Codemasters.
This GPU features two Asynchrounous compute Engines (ACE) that are a vital part of DX12 / Windows 10 gaming in new titles to enable better performance.
That makes this GPU much more future proof (despite the 2GB limitation) than the competition who do not have asynchronous compute engines in any of their hardware.

The DX12 spec will allow for RAM pooling the the future if Dev's implement it but we are away off from that. Next year Maybe.

Correct, no difference, you'd have 6 (or 4 with a pair of 2gb cards) total but only 2 useable.

So I'll be totalled to 6gb of video memory, right? As in, ultimately, is there really a difference for me buying whether a 2gb or a 4gb? And I'm on an asus m5a97.

I've got a gigabyte 270x 2gb. I'm thinking of crossfire instead of buying a new gfx. Would my card work well with a 4gb 270x?

You'll only be using 2gb on the second card, obv make sure your motherboard fully supports it aswell

Competitive overclocking is a thing, believe it or not. There are even well-known personalities, like 8Pack (who actually works for OCUK and has his own line of GPUs made by KFA2) and "K|NGP|N" (who EVGA's top cards are named after). They hold various world records for top clock speeds achieved on different CPUs and GPUs. Record-setting is basically the only point of LN2 cooling at all. I don't think anybody on the planet runs it as a day to day setup.
Personally, I think the whole thing is dumb, but different strokes I suppose.

And why would you dangerously overclock your GPU if not for extra 10fps when gaming? Mining crypto coins on those cards isn't profitable since 2013.

No. By high end overclocking I mean dangerous overvolting, only needing to be stable for a couple of minutes and LN2. Not just adding 100mhz in MSI afterburner and running Valley for 24 hours to ensure stability.

So basically gaming then?

I love my TItan Z Office edition, I can get 1 million spreadsheets per second.

It's opposed the hawk version which is designed for high end overclocking.

A pair of GTX 770's is not much more if you're in to that dual GPU thing.

Might have to sell my 7850 1GB at these rates for a slight bump

Thanks OP , I already had one of these that I bought 2 years ago but never got round to buying a second to crossfire but at this price why not!

Wow, I paid £120 for a 270x not long ago. For sub-£100 this is great.

Out of all the steam games I own the only one that don't work with this card is Dirt 2, lol..

Thats what I said, cost me 158 for a pair of them with delivery, didn't want to post it here till I got the confirmation, by which time they'd all gone I guess

Nice, but the 4 gig version was £73ish over the weekend
