After contacting this excellent company about a price match with Laptops direct they have informed me about their reduction on their website to beat the Laptops direct deal which was good but the company apparently in bad!!

Still debating on this phone. Battery life is a nightmare though apparently. Anyone have hands on experience?

I'm only a light/medium user so I get about one and a half days use from a charge. A medium/hard user should get a full days use. The Quick Charge feature gives you about 6 hours use in only 15 minutes though so it isn't a real problem.

I can't see it being as bad as being a "nightmare". I have a S5 samsung at the moment and use it for whats app and 1 hour of video at lunch and it last's about a day!! and that's on power saving with screen on 3/4 brightness, its only about 8 months old!!! I can only think people must hammer their phones like my teenage son all day at school and after school at home you tube facebook videos music etc etc to not last a day!!

I've been spoiled with the Oneplus One I guess, but as a minimum I need 4 hours of screen on time. I'm not often near a charger at work and regularly use mapping and reasonably intensive apps. No such thing as a perfect phone I guess. There's always the Z5 but I don't fancy having my current handset superseded 3 times in twelve months!!!

great phone the OPO i had it just before my S5, i didnt have a scren protector fitted and scratched it which really out me off so i flogged it and got the Samsung....Been after something stock Android ever since i got my hands on this S5. Hate the samsung bloatware but am living with it for now, til i get the right phone at the right price. Do miss the OPO was awesome not so keen on the One plus 2 the finger print sensor thing spoils it for me have it on this Samsung and NEVER use the junk. Rather have no physical button. Want a big phone too like this Moto X seems to tick all the boxes for me!!!!
I don't understand the need for massive batteries (obviously it would be great), but with these external power banks, they basically solve the problem. You can charge it from any where.

Had a OPT and returned it. Honestly. The build quality was outstanding. But oxygen doesn't hold a candle to CM12. The software just didn't feel polished. And that shutter lag on the camera was infuriating. I'm not bothered too much about a QHD screen. And would take a better battery over this, but the OPT Wasn't too special on that front either. The fingerprint scanner was great though. Really great. Worked every time for me. I was thinking about holding out for the Nexus 6p but that might be a little more than I'm comfortable to pay for sim free. Damned phones are ruining my life. Can't seem to settle on one this year. I want a decent camera and battery life, with expandable or larger storage. LG G4 anyone?

The Style has IR scanners on the front screen which detect when you hold your hand above it or detect when you look at it (You can turn the feature off if you don't like it). Either method shows the lockscreen and any missed calls/texts etc. are shown as icons. It works fine, I haven't touched the Power button since I bought it.

I'm doing some heavy flirting with G4....the price is dropping quite quickly now and I'm hoping that the new LG releases will see it drop under £250 from a reputable UK supplier. I think that's my bite point..

Nice phone but prettt laggy with the Snapdragon 808 and runs quite hot. Cameras ok but not the best.

I'd avoid the G4, has lots of issues, didn't like it at all. There's a reason why the price has dropped quite quickly.
G4 is a great phone and especially at the price its at. Not sure what the issues are but im not experiencing any.
808 Hot and Laggy!! You sure you had the phone :man:

I was looking to get this on contract and keep the phone let my son have the sim but for some strange reason EE keep refusing me one!!!! Strange my credit rating is excellent...
Tried carphone warehouse and Mobiles.co.uk (waiting to hear but judging by their feedback on trust pilot i am hoping it gets declined) but VERY limited to who is offering this. Would love it on 3 as i have 3 contracts with them but can't see it anywhere.

I've seen numerous reports from multiple sources saying that the G4 thermal throttling kicks in after as little as 30 mins sat nav use resulting in screen dimming and then shut down while the device cools.
Granted it may be exaggeration / here say / down to a bad batch, but I need a phone that can run sat nav for anything up to 6 hours at a time, so have been wary about splashing the cash on what otherwise looks like a flaming good deal.

I have a power and found that I either forget it or hate to carry it. I realise I'm probably being unrealistic with what I want from a smart phone. But my Oneplus one was nigh on perfect. Just wish there was a 2015 equivalent. Each device seems to have its own short falls. It just depends on which one is least important to you.

IU got a Moto X Play to replace my one plus one and much prefer it .. And the battery life is much better. I have a nexus 6p preordered but will probably return it as this is a bargain (paid way less than retail, over priced at £280.. I paid £105)

It's got heavy thermal throttling. The maximum CPU lowers pretty quickly after using it for a while due to thermal throttling. The 810 Is even worse. Qualcomm have messed up with the 808 and 810. This generation the Exynos is much more thermally efficient (although the bloatware on the Samsung phones causes it's own problems).

Yes but do you have one? Have you experienced this "lag" yourself? Throttling doesn't mean it throttles to unusable levels, it may just throttle from a high frequency to a slightly lower one. The 808 doesn't throttle much if at all according to my research.

The 810 throttles when it reaches a high temperature, the 808 does not. Previous poster is talking crap.

OP2's better for 32GB extra storage and £50 cheaper. But thats just me everyone has their own preferences.

Now £349.99 on John lewis for those who prefer a more well known vendor.
