Everyone knows about this wheel. For some reason some stores are desperate to clear the space. Managed to pick this up at £99.97 from PC World in Southgate, Bath.
Ring your local store and ask them about stock BEFORE running out like a pack of geese. Unless you enjoy the chase that is ;)

Most likely selling them off because Logitech won't make them compatible with PS4. The words I have for that company I'm not allowed to type.

believe that I got the last one in Scotland. Traveled to Edinburgh from Glasgow to pick mine up from the Craigleith store. One was showing in Livingston but a stock error.

Just picked one up at the Crayford store in Kent.
Nothing on display so asked at the till and they were showing one in stock. Brand new unopened sat in the warehouse.
Make sure to ask at the till for product code 054680.

Nice find! Surprised there was any left. I've took the last one at Maidstone. Folkestone, Sittingbourne and both Ashford's didn't have stock.
I then sold the shifter for £50 on eBay because I didn't have anywhere to mount it anyway.

Thanks very much for the link, it's the only shred of hope I have seen of using my wheel on PS4. Do you have any first-hand experience of this? It seems rather complicated and unclear as to whether you need a DIY chip or can use your PC on its own. I have a PIC programmable board but am not sure if that will work.

If you read the comment that i replied to initially before you jumped in, and by the way jump in all you want its fine with me, but if you read what he said you'll see he said it needs a chip and "do we expect logitech to come round to our house and solder a chip into our g27". Well it doesnt need a chip does it? Thats the point i was making, but I didnt want to get into an argument about it though

Exactly how does that make you right. Sony are the ones limiting what hardware works.
We don't know the commercIl decisions but as Thrustmaster has done PS accessories for years. I suspect they have an exclusive licence to maintain comparability to legacy devices.
Quite how Logitech not working with PS4 can be isolated to being their issue is beyond me.

They work in game, completely. Just not in OS

Thrust master wheels may work but that is probably a Sony code change to allow it, probably under licence.

Some of them do work, not completely, but they work. Most others won't work at all without the chip or sony to release a FW update that allows them.
Old thrustmaster wheels released long before the ps4 are working on the ps4

The G27 was released long before I the PS4, in which case it must be a Sony issue.

So Logitech g27 is a wheel that is perfectly compatible with the PS3. Sony releases a new console that is incompatible with hardware that worked with the PS3 but according to you the company that is to blame is Logitech.
Are you sure you got that the right way round? Why did Sony break compatibility in the first place?
paulpso to djhazardous
23 Oct 151#33
It's sonys fault not logitech. they put some usb encryption crap in the ps4 so only certified accessories can be used.. you want logitech to come round to your house and solder a chip into your steering wheel? address your complaints to sony for blocking it.

My advice is to just buy one at this price, don't debate, don't think just buy it. Even if you decide it's not for you you'll get about £150 for it on ebay.
I bought my G25 about 5 years ago for £99 on offer, after 5 years of use if I stick it on ebay today I'm still going to get at least £80 for it.
They aren't the absolute best devices but they nicely fit in that category above being a cheap toy but still affordable for someone who takes playing racing games a bit more seriously. So they are always in demand second hand and thanks to the lack of progress on them really even the old ones like the G25 and G27 are still desirable today because the more up to date models don't really offer anything new.
So again, you see one at this price just buy it. If you don't have the room for it, or the misses isn't happy about a £100 vibrating toy she can't use you'll happily recoup your money on ebay.

I bought the g29 as I couldn't find the g27 anywhereee for a decent price. Thought I may as well spend the extra 60-70 to get one I can use with ps4 instead of overpaying for the g27 from Logitech which as mentioned above is going to be discontinued. Would have preferred to pick this up at this price though as I definitely won't be using the g29 with the ps4 anytime soon. Already own drive club for PC so no value in buying it for ps4 too. And their isn't anything else worthy a wheel for console yet

I bought ther G29 about a month ago and am really happy with it. Works fine on both PS3 and PS4. However if I was going to stick with the PS3 I would definitely buy this. At minus £100 it really is a bargain. The only problem people will have, I think, is actually finding one. Voted hot.

It's funny because the G29 is essentially the same, it's just got a brake mod as standard now but no shifter...
The G27 is defo worth this price, brake mods are so cheap to do.
However I would spend the extra and get the Thrustmaster instead as it does feel that much better.

Yep, this model is about to be discontinued, as a newer model is comping out. G29 for PS4/PC and G920 for XBOX One/PC. Apparently, the shifter is being sold separately too now.
Someone has got a workaround for getting Logitech wheels working on PS4

I had the G25 an, at least for me it has been a great racing wheeel and a great experience with Gran Turismo 5 & 6 on PS3 and other games on PC.
Unfortunately after a while I started playing less and less and it kept gethering dust - it is a big item, so think twice before buying...

these in all effect have been discontinued from logitech for about 5 years, as they refuse to add it to thier gaming software. But a great wheel, and even better for £99 there is no way anybody should buy the updated/sidedated G29 Old (very old) technology compared to competition. But the G27 is a great wheel still
