Revolutionary new product from Volvo that you can spray on clothing/fabrics and is invisible in daylight but highly reflective at night. Aimed at making cyclists more visible.
Trial in London earlier in the year sold out in 24 hrs and cans were subsequently selling for £50 on ebay. Nevertheless £10 for 100ml can seems quite expensive (especially as the stuff washes off eventually) but what price do you put on safety?
Various freebies at Volvo dealerships this weekend to accompany the launch. Only available from Volvo dealers.

A reflective vest would be a better investment.

Maybe things can be sprayed and then lacquered, to then lengthen the life

Come to think of it, what would happen if you spray all the windows & the headlights?

That 100ml isn't going to last long after all the experimentation,

I had an email that you can get a free spray of an item if you pop down to your local Volvo Dealer Saturday 24th — worth trying/asking before you go straight in and purchase.

Looks good, Volvo's clip about it was impressive, aaaand...there's none participating in Bristol according to their map. Well dang aint that typical all other cities and smaller areas seem to have it.... that or Google maps just added random spray cans everywhere.

Is this Volvo's attempt to mitigate the fact that most of their owners will probably never notice a cyclist?

Next thing you know you will be told in court that it is your fault for not wearing a helmet or this so-called life paint and ordered to pay poor driver's repair bills. Victim blaming as usual.

Basically Volvo recognise their customers are close to fossilisation which is why they have always been keen on safety. Gotta have the main customer base keeping their licenses valid for a bit longer. For every can of this they sell, they offer a free bicycle wreckage removal service from the underneath of your car.

More info here for those curious as to how it works:
They should be giving away glasses for all the half blind car drivers that don't see me on my bike...

Because your number plate will be obviously reflective at night and the police will notice that.

This has got to be terrible for the environment... Three are enough small balls of rubbish in the world from polystyrene to exfoliation... Love the idea but sad they aren't biodegradable.

Maybe volvo should invest in teaching their customers how indicators work
