I've had to return my LG G4 Black leather to Amazon because the battery life was atrocious. Looses nearly 1% for every minute I'm on the internet (browsing) even on wifi & screen at 60% brightness; so if I used it at 100% within 30 minutes or so it would be down to 70%. Also, at the same time, the handset got REALLY warm around the camera area. The odd thing is if I'm using Youtube or listening to music the battery life is great & lasts ages - I watched a YouTube video on it the other night & after an hour the battery only dropped 7%.
I tried a factory reset & different browsers but it made no difference.
Anyone else experience battery drain & heating issues when browsing?

I also got the black leather. took my battery off charge at 5.30 this morning and I've got 50% left at the moment with 3hours 9 mins of on screen time and about an hour of calls with about an 1 and half hours of tune in radio.
I do have the brightness on auto though. After having an N4 before, I'm Loving my battery life :-)

The skin is not too obtrusive and doesn't slow it a great amount. It was a fairly comfortable move from the Nexus phone from that point of view. Performance is very fast and battery was better than both Nexus 4 and 5. I gather the battery life is on par with most leading smartphones so I usually charge it once a day but use it quite heavily.
To be honest, I'm less worried about waiting slightly longer for the latest version of Android OS than I used to be as each new release often seems quite buggy and to then have to be patched for a few weeks anyway.
Hope this helps!

There's limited choice when it comes to dual SIM phones for this country though. The only one I know of that has dual 4G slots with all the UK frequencies is the Elephone p8000. While the Elephone is great because of the dual sim and epic price it doesn't compare to the G4 with regards to camera and screen. It's a shame that there isn't a G4 dual SIM variant suitable for this country.

How's LG's skin after spending so much time with stock Android? And, y'know, performance and such. I'm a longtime Nexus user, but I'm weighing my options with how underwhelming the 5X seems to be. The 6P's nice, if a little large, but Google are price gouging more than usual compared to the US version.

The new LG V10 is available at Best Buy box.com, just ordered mine for £468 insured delivery, and the phone is far superior, 64gb storage, 4gb RAM, dual screen, dual selfie cam, 5.7in QHD screen. Same cam, processor and micro SD compatability and swappable 3000mah battery. £169.00 more is another 56% more. That's like looking at a £500 tv and saying the one at £750 is the one you should go for. Unless you are mega rich most of us have a budget and if people are looking at a £300 phone then that is their budget they are not going pay another £170 to buy what is more or less the same phone with a slightly larger screen that will use more power. Whilst the V10 looks to be a very nice phone this thread is about getting a top end branded phone at a low end price.

It's getting a good response because it is a top end phone. As good as an S6 in most eyes. It may not have all of the S6 features but it's a damn good spec with an amazing camera. It has got some features the S6 hasn't. All for nearly a £100.00 less than an S6. That is why it's popular, that is why it's hot and that is why people are buying them. The more that buy the more the price will come down. I have been a Samsung used for four years with the S2 and then the S4. This is a great phone and delighted with it.

It's a great phone and also will be first non-nexus to get Marshmallow too.
The cheapest price I've seen this is £250 brand new but only a few manage to buy it at that price.
I got a wireless charge base for the G3 i had was only about £5 but took ages to charge and the phone heated up.
Excellent phone

Hopefully, Bespoke will bring the price down to £250 ish
Not keen on either the leather or plastic back but a Ringke Slim would sort this one out.
