Looks a good price for the spec and with the 4k screen. Remember to add code LOVE100 to get this price.

Good price and with the added comfort of knowing you're safe from malware and general nastiness with Lenovo.

4k on an 860m? that won't end well for gaming at native res, turning down to 1080p kind of defeats the point of a 4k screen

Had this exact laptop before, really loved it. Had no problems with the keyboard but the built in wifi card was crap. I live on a third floor and it would regularly drop connection. I personally run the screen at 1080 instead of 2160 (or whatever is, some people complain its not true 4k) and found it handled games pretty well, the sound was even quite decent - it advertises its subwoofer located on the bottom but it's really nothing to shout about but the sound clarity is really good.
Battery life sort of sucked. Lasted about 3 hours as mine was pumping so many pixels but beyond all this negative, I would still say it was a great laptop, I'd say the only real thing that bothered me was the wifi and unfortunately I don't think that's an easy fix. Hope this helps someone.

Cold! I had this laptop but not 4K and it was ok but it didn't run games very well like GTA and newer games, had to run on medium to low, laptop was slow for 16GB ram and SSHD.

Yes, the keyboard is one of the most important elements of any laptop, I agree with jazzy.

Erm.. This was 799, that's 999 - that's not equal to a £50 difference.

quite tempted to do the same , think I might miss the Mac build quality though. specs don't mention build of this but I assume it's just plastic? Be nice if it was aluminium....

might be 4K, but it's also only 190 nits - not very bright at all.

COLD
About the keyboard : All the keys in the near vicinity of the 'G' and 'H' key in the center of the keyboard for some reason trigger a weird flex/trampoline style effect, which is very noticeable compared to keys near the edge of the keyboard (Tab, Q, number pad, etc.)

Disagree,,, its not as bad when compared to other laptops in the consumer line models. It was my main concern when getting a laptop that it should not have a flimsy keyboard like all the pcworld consumer laptops.
Keyboard is very good but when comparing to a corporate/business spec laptop ie. Elitebook/ W530 series its not better.

So just updated this morning to windows 10, rather than installing all the gfx drivers manually (intel hd and nvidia), i let windows update itself and restart a few times.
Resolution fixed and all games working perfectly.

No if your voting probably.
Your voting for a price which is good or bad. Beat that price for that machine/spec then vote cold, not because of personal preference.
Will reinstall windows 10 and hopefully nvidia gfx will work.

games would load with the built in intel HD gfx, nvidia drivers would not update post install. after reading on the lenovo support forum and seeing others with same issue had to downgrade

got this last week. great laptop. however a shame that the nvidia card doesn't work on this when upgrading to windows 10. have had to restore win 8.1

How come? Nvidia offer Windows 10 drivers for that card so cannot see why it would not work.

Yep even installing Windows clean does not save you from bios 'malware' - though why MS thought such functionality won't be abused? Could only be lenovo...
