Arnold Schwarzenegger and Austin O'Brien star in this action drama directed by John McTiernan. When Danny (O'Brien), a dedicated young fan of film star Jack Slater (Schwarzenegger), is given a magic cinema ticket by his local projectionist he is transported into his hero's latest film. However, one of Slater's enemies gets hold of the magic ticket and ends up in Danny's world where he finds a way to finally kill off Slater.

I thought I was one of the only people who liked the 90s action comedies. This and True Lies were favourites of mine growing up.

Just to balance the comments - I thought this was utter trash and by far the worst film Arnie has starred in!

My favourite Arnold movie.
One of a handful of films id watch frequently as a kid.

Have to agree about the underrated comments. It's a weird film in that it's an action movie, but also a comedy, poking fun at buddy / action movies.
Charles Dance sort of steals the movie from Arnie though in some respects - he's a great villain.
Love it.

Brilliant film, so underrated but so good. Truly star studded cast if you count all the cameos, right down to DeVito as a cartoon cat.

I really like this film, think it is an underated Schwarzeneggar movie. Its got pretty much everything youd associate with an over the top 90s action flick
However the cover is one of my all time hated covers, just a lazy generic cover which tells you nothing about the film. DVD cover is way better, they also used that good cover on a sub par blu-ray release in America, so cant win either way
