Excellent price for this; from what I can find even the 8CD sets are selling around £16+ and this is the 20CD set!!
With 20 CDs adding up to over 25 hours' running time, this audiobook collection contains Ken Follett's epic masterpiece Pillars of the Earth and its sequel World Without End.
Pillars of the Earth is a thrilling drama set in 12th century England that revolves around a family conflict surrounding the building of a cathedral. World Without End is set two centuries later in medieval Kingsbridge and it once again finds men, women and children having to grapple with the devastating sweep of historical change.
Both are read by beloved actor Richard E. Grant and provide captivating listening whether you're at home, in the car or on a longer journey.

Likewise Pillars is in my top ten of books and I was so excited when I found out it was being made into a series. I watched the first two episodes and turned off through episode three. Every episode was like a catch up summary and too much detail was either out of order or totally forgotten about.
I did buy the box set and forced myself to watch the whole thing. But never again!
I didn't even bother watching one minute of World!!
But it looks like I'm going to be disappointed again with this audio book if it's so abridged.

The 25th anniversary edition on Audible (narrated by John Lee) is 41h for POTE alone, so this must be heavily abridged!

Loved loved loved Pillars of the Earth and World Without End but at 25 hrs there is no way this is the full version. Stick to the books! Not voted either way.

Make sure it is not the abridged version which is very irritating. Also check out your local library as they all have an audio book download facility which is free, I use it all the time (a small amount of set up needed and a library membership which is also free).
You can find your library online services from your council website.

Both excellent books, highly recommended. Though At 25ish hours for both these would be the abridged versions. Pillars off the Earth alone is normally over 40 hours long.

pillars of the earth is one of my favourite books. I thought the TV show was quite good particularly eddyie Redmayne and Ian Mcshane. the TV adaptation of the excellent world without end was garbage tho....
