Best product apple every made, mine still going strong after 5+ years. Guess they forgot to put the built in obsolescence in these. If you can put up with iTunes this is the best music player for running.

i went for the nano, but the other models vary in prices. in kirkcaldy they were cheapest, in glenrothes they were £10-20 on top of that. all dependent on how much stock was left.

I got given one of these and was horrified at how poor the sound quality was, even compared to other Apple devices. There is a marked difference which made the music muddy and lack fidelity. Couldn't stand it for more than a few times and never used it again.
Also I cannot believe they can even sell something like this in 2015 when in the early 2000's MP3 players this size where far superior. I have one which has a screen, eq, radio, voice recording, radio recording it's made in South Korea with stunning sound, I still use it everyday for gym / jogging etc.

Get one of these http://m.mymemory.co.uk/product?p=45258. It's tiny, has a screen, a clip, 8gb memory and an sd card slot. Also it's not Apple which is a bonus!

Its because they are completely revamping their electrical and getting all your products in time for the christmas season. My asda has been doing alot of these crazy sales as well. Although our ipod shuffles were 2GB and were £20 but imo 2GB is nothing in this day and age. The 32GB iPod Touches and Xbox 360's were at steal at £70 to those that got them though.

Chromebooks are _great_ but they do have limitations unfortunately.
an ipod touch would work with Google Play Music but this post is about the shuffle I guess.

Not sure if it's still the case, but I used an app called "ishuffle" on my old ipod shuffle, using that I could copy the MP3s onto the device, then run the ishuffle.exe which was stored on the device and it would index the songs and allow them to be played.

I second this. My daughters (now almost 15 & 14) have both had one for 4 years, use them all day every day and are still in perfect working order which is quite the miracle for my kids... and i don't know how but one has even survived a full 40° wash cycle!
These are great little devices and extremely sturdy, highly recommended for all ages at even the full price.

These are great for what they are but definitely far from being the best Apple product.if you have used their other products you would know.

Agreed. I have the 'new' shape one, and have been waiting forlornly for an update to the capacity. Leave everything as is, but pop 4-8gb in there.
....but i doubt they ever will :disappointed:

Can't live without mine. Tiny little thing, don't even feel it when running. Even better now that earpods have remotes on them.
Have a nano too (the best one with click wheel and vid recording), but never use it. Any time I would take something that big I'd have my phone with me so what's the point..

Even if it was free I wouldn't bother, got one for son at full price he wasn't impressed at all by lack of display and functions, when ever I mentioned lack of use, he justed look at me as if I was cheapskate for not getting a decent apple music player. So don't expect any thanks in long run if buying this for you kids.

Best advice is to just tell him the truth : "there's no such thing as a decent Apple music player".
