Just saw this on Novatech's FaceBook page - stupid price! Half price for a new gen i7 (although not a K) for the same money as a current gen i3. I'm all sorted PC wise but thought it might help someone out - if you're within 50 miles then i'd drive down there for it :)
Dang it, burgers only available to competitors :disappointed:

Great although bear in mind this needs a different socket type (so a more expensive motherboard) and that different motherboard will likely use more expensive ddr4 ram. Still, insane price, heat

I've just built a cheap Skylake machine, the H110 boards are very cheap, £40-£50, and the 2400mhz DDR4 is around the same money as the DDR3 (I got 8GB Corsair for £42 from Amazon, and a Gigabyte H110 board for £47 as I wanted to avoid the Asus boards). This paired with the Novatech i7 is a very powerful machine for a silly price.

Wonder why so cheap? Poor sales? lack of future support?

Poor sales - everybody knows that unless you're running some ancient machine (Before Sandy Bridge), you're wasting your cash upgrading to Skylake as you won't notice a real performance upgrade at all!

Surely that entirely depends on what you're using for. For most games I'd be inclined to agree but for other workloads not so much.

Very true.
This is a bargain price regardless, you could easily re-sell it for £200~

I think Broadwell was a bit of a flop for Intel, it was late coming out and people held off, and there's not a great choice if you want to buy one at retail.
Skylake CPUs seem to be a pretty good price compared with Haswell, but as others have pointed out, performance gains aren't great, and there's not a lot of choice of models to buy.

I used to work for them. Only store is Portsmouth, deal was part of an incentive for the Intel gaming day they had today. They host events like this a couple of times a year and always have deals on then

Who cares! Deals are just a heads up of a possibility and no guarantee. If you live near Novatech I'm sure it would have been easy enough to phone them to confirm.
As for the heat rating, it has no importance at all.

Isn't the H110 board limited to 2133MHz RAM?
mikedigitales

Yep - It clocks down to 2133 happily though - I found there was more choice on the 2400, so could pick the brand/colour I wanted.
