The Hudl 2 is now sold out instore and through tesco direct, however Tesco have just released 500 pink and 500 black refurbished models on their ebay store. I've just purchased one and it also comes with a 12 month warranty.
UPDATE: Black now sold out but Pink still available. Also a £2.50 delivery charge has been added, but there is 10% off if you buy 2 or more

Myself and 2 of my son's have the Hudl 2.. they have been fantastic and get used everyday.. I have changed the battery and charge port in one of them, this is easy to do and the parts are cheap.. The best reset to use if the unit isn't charging is switch it off then hold the power button down for 30 secs..after this leave it off and try to charge ... It works

I have 2 hudl2s and they are both fantastic, the kids have 1 each and love them.
I thought I had an issue with 1, it took forever to charge but I found that if you closed all the apps down it charged five times quicker, perhaps we've been lucky but I love the Hudl2 as a tab.

Received both of my orders but the black one has a weird flickering screen problem that I can't rectify. Tried a factory reset so it's gonna have to go back. No 5.1 update available on either tablet either for some reason they're on 4.4.2

Really sad it appears there will be no Hudl 3 as the Hudl 2 is about the best thing Tesco ever did! Truly amazing tablet, have used higher spec tablets but the Hudl 2 gets the balancing of performance across the components really good i.e. excellent all round performance and no obvious shortcomings.
The Android 5.1 update makes it all the better too, I wasn't expecting it to ever get past kitkat so it was a nice bonus for me, I have tablets that cost a lot more than this that have received virtually no OS updates after release and hence are still stuck on Jelly Bean. The update though makes it all the more surprising a Hudl 3 isn't in the works as I thought they might have secretly secured 5.1 as both the Hudl 2 update and the Hudl 3 base OS, with the Hudl 3 (and possibly 2) getting Android 6 at a later date, would have made sense but seems it won't happen sadly.....

I'm uploading this comment via my Hudl2. Screen is really sharp and colours are good. However battery life is shocking and charging takes about a full day! Probably due to the insane amount of bloatware running in the background! Had to install CM Launcher as the UI was terrible! Do yourself a favour and uninstall any preinstalled apps that it will let you. Videos constantly have playback issues. Other than that it's alright!

The hudl2 is a fantastic bit of kit , I would thoroughly recommend it. Stick 64 gig memory in the slot , and the 2 gb of ram it already has it is far superior to other tablets in that price bracket. I would thoroughly recommend one.
The 2 guys who ran /developed the hudl have left Tesco and they sold their movies section.
Tesco have no plans to bring out a hudl3 at present . When Tesco sorts their money problems out they may realise what a winner they had.
To me they should move the hdmi port to the side instead of the bottom, and do a sim card version that could be used as a phone as well as offer a 10 inch version and charge more money .

The screen cracked on my wife's Hudl2 whilst charging. It was in mint condition, in the keyboard case sitting on a kitchen worktop at the time. I didn't bother trying to get Tesco to replace it as I don't have hours to waste on the phone. I was tempted to buy a replacement as it's a decent tablet and the keyboard case is great, however now it's been discontinued, I won't bother - not even for £79.

Have they really got 1000 refurbs to shift or are people buying expecting to actually receive new ones?
Got my Hudl2 last Xmas for just under £50 double-up and it's been great, used heavily and charged once or twice daily. The only issue has been the clock occasionally goes wildly inaccurate if you let the battery get so low it shuts down, but this is easily fixed with a hard reboot.

I got one a month or two ago and it's upgraded to Lollipop fine. You need to clear the cache partition after it has updated and the first boot up will be slow (presumably rebuilding cache) but after that it works just fine.
N.b. make sure to select "wipe cache partition" in step 3
I did a full reset/wipe to be sure as it didn't have much personal data on at the time anyway.

My screen cracked as well when charging , had to send a pic in and they said user damaged
A single Crack stemming from mini HDMI to USB port , structurally weakest points.
130 quid paper weight , not paying 60 for it to be fixed and hopefully the watchdog piece gains momentum. Can't see it though , there have been reports since may of screens cracking themselves , quite a few

I guess with any tablet some will go wrong, but the reviews are extremely positive and it has a 12 month warranty if something does go wrong so I'm not going to worry for £79! I forgot to add that Tesco have discontinued the Hudl 2 so these could be the last ones around. Great Xmas gift for the kids I think!

Haven't had any problems whatsover with my hudl 2. Battery life isn't great, you'll probably get 4 hours out of it, but it seems to have given me an extra half an hour or so with the recent Lollipop update (yes, i know!).
Tablet is actually very quick, and what I love it for is the fact that I can open tens of apps and there's no reloading when I'm clicking on them. Screen isn't very sensitive like your usual smartphones, requires a tiny tiny bit more force compared to phones. Use it mostly for browsing and Sky Go, football looks great on the 1080p screen. Any questions, hit me up.
