Excellent Deal for either the Black or Silver Nexus 6P, all of which are on O2.
For £25.83 a month you are getting an excellent phone, unlimited min & texts with 3GB of Data.
Best price i have seen so far. This is the first deal iv'e posted so please point out any mistakes etc.
P.S this is also available at CPW but at £36 per month, no redemption but you get a free £30 Chromecast audio dongle, but still not worth it.

The Nexus 6P is a premium phone, hence the P, this is still alot cheaper than an iPhone, and its probably the biggest rival to an iPhone yet, especially in terms of build quality, hence why Google teamed up with Huawei.

I've heated this, but I'm wary of O2. I'm torn between the 5x and the 6p. The deals on here for the 5x seem better.
...Of course if I could hold my water for a week or two, I'm sure there'd be an even better deal coming along!

The thing is please ask yourself when you have ever left a good review for a company you purchased your phone from??? I have used Mobiles.co.uk on 3 occasions and not had any issues.
thomps121
2 Oct 15#24
Also for anyone not in the know, mobiles.co.uk are a subsidiary of Dixons Carphone Warehouse.
thomps121
2 Oct 15#25
Also their main reviews are here anyway 4.7 out of over 5000 is pretty damn good -
This is a good deal, however the phone isn't as good as people think it is, or is suited to them, the two main points being this uses the 810, and no matter how optimised they make it and how much they throttle it, it will heat up and lag and cause problems, infact on bemchmark tests even the 801 performs better, so dont let this phones high spec, at least on paper sell you, and secondly, this phone is big, bigger than a note 5 and even the S6 Edge +, so make sure you want a big phablet before you tie yourself into to 24 months.
thomps121
2 Oct 15#27
I really don't agree with what your saying here, i'm not saying you are wrong but im saying that i trust the developers and engineers at Google, who might i add are pretty smart over you, that's all it comes down to.
Also if your right and it does overheat, i will be returning it and changing to another phone, which won't be a samsung although the design and hardware are gorgeous, the software stinks, badly!
thomps121
2 Oct 15#28
Also just incase your interested, the Oneplus 2 has the same processor and they have made it run perfectly fine, so i expect Google to be even better.

maybe because some don't want to be tied in 24month contract for ''only'' 30pounds/month for a bloody phone?

3 Oct 15#35
This says new contract. For upgrades the prices are higher. Does that mean that I can't use it if I want to keep my number?
rofldinho
3 Oct 15#36
You can keep your number by requesting a PAC code from your current network and giving that code to the new network provider. They'll transfer your number over within a couple of days usually.
ajavaid92
3 Oct 15#37
Is this the best contract deal out there?
airmark
4 Oct 15#38
The thing is I'm already with O2, so the transfer is internal (no PAC involved), will this still count as a new contract?
rofldinho
4 Oct 15#39
Yes, it will. They can't count a new contract with them as an upgrade on a previous one.
I've transferred numbers between the same network provider a couple of times (Tesco to Tesco, which runs on the o2 network, and T-Mobile to T-Mobile) and not had any issues, it's just a simple phone call to customer services.

I'll give you some heat  I have had the Nexus 5 for 2 years and it is brilliant plus I love stock Android. Hubby has a Samsung and its horrible to use. I have wanted a phablet for months and have ordered the 6P 64gb Frost from Google. I have a £13 monthly rolling "all you can eat" sim only deal with 3UK. The Nexus phones retain good value so I'll make a bit selling the 5 too.
pannan
5 Oct 15#41
Nice specs but 32gb and no microSD card means you are going to run out of space pretty quickly on this.

5 Oct 15#43
I have a 32GB Nexus 5 currently which I have no issues with but I still went for the 64GB Nexus 5P since the phone does 4K video now which I can imagine will eat up storage. With the SD improvements with Marshmallow a lot of people were hoping to see SD card support.

It's not just video, but games which are getting increasingly larger which makes these sizes impractical for a lot of users.

Currently, I am on sim-only 12 months contract from e2save, with O2, 7g data, cost about 10 pounds per month after cashback, that's about 240 pounds in 24 months. that means the phone in this deal cost more than 500 pounds, the RRP is £449 for 32gb. So, I am voting cold.

What have the Google Engineers got to do with this phone? They commissioned another company to build the phone and they have no control over the chipset, the Snapdragon 810 is a dog of a chipset even with revisions. What you really mean is you trust your assumptions.
The 810 is a flawed chipset, it didn't use custom KRAIT cores but ARMs big.LITTLE architecture. The Snapdragon 820 will use the new KYRO cores and that's the one to look out for.

The expected delivery date for your order is now 30th November. You don't need to do anything as we are working hard to ensure your order reaches you and we'll be back in touch once this has been dispatched.
If you'd prefer not to wait, then we have a great range of products available for immediate dispatch. Just call our friendly team today on 0871 2203 580. We are here 9am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 9.30am to 6pm on Saturdays. Calls cost 13p per minute plus your telephone company's access charge.
Very disappointed. And the cynic in me thinks that it seems quite dodgy practice to get a lot of people to pre-order something they didn't have (i can't believe this delay is Google's fault), and then try to lure them into other phones.

I spoke to them this morning asking if the phone was still to be sent out on time ( I've ordered the silver one) and they said she knew the black edition had been put back on the dispatch date so she checked the silver edition and said that will be sent out on schedule and i should receive a text on Monday from dpd about time of delivery or Tuesday by the latest. I ordered mine at the start of this week. Hope this helps some people but it looks like the people who ordered black will have to wait a little longer. Just to point out I cancelled my initial order with them to change to a different tariff and they was absolutely fine with it, cancelled over the phone and then reordered online so if you wanna change to silver and get the phone next week that's probably your best option.

Just came to say that I just received 2 further emails. One from 02, saying thanks for joining us and another saying that I should receive a delivery from DPD on Monday.
Now eailer on the week I received an email saying that my phone (32g Black) will be delivered towards the end of November.
Should I be excited to be thinking I'm getting my phone or is the DPD delivery my 02 sim card ??
airmark
23 Oct 15#125
Strange, according to what they told me neither should have happened. The black is not in stock at all, so you shouldn't be receiving it yet. And the O2 contract and SIM only gets activated approximately a week after you receive the phone (that's what they told me after I insisted on the timing, as I wanted to know because I'm already with O2 and wanted to port my number and I wanted to make sure how and when I would do this). I received an email saying my phone will be delivered on Monday (but as I said I changed my order to the silver one) but no email from O2. Edit: Correction, I just noticed I did receive the email from O2 welcoming me. Now I need to see if what they told me about porting the number is true.

Based on a few prior experiences with mobiles.co.uk, the delivery contains your phone, sim card and welcome pack. They aren't sent out separately.

Got mine this morning. Awesome, but slightly daunted by the size. I thought the Sony Z4 I bought the wife was big, but this thing dwarfs it!!
Just need the Folio case to be in stock on the Google store. I can already see myself breaking this monolith...

This phone is outstanding, really cannot fault it. Don't forget to check the battery options and turn on for app optimisation. The battery life has been fantastic, and charging is seriously fast anyhow. 100% from 10 last night to 97% at 7 this morning, thats some nice Doze functionality right there! Also all apps installed, fully setup, wifi on etc.
This phone is alot bigger than my previous one, but the quality is amazing, screen is gorgeous, the finger print sensor is the best ive used, i have an ipad mini 4 and i have yet to have one mistaken reading on my new Nexus, in comparison the sensor is better than Apples or the location is just better, either way its ... better :).
Both front speakers produce good sound and quality, love android M, feels really polished and like a very complete OS, due to not wanting to scratch up the black camera, sensor, antenna area i've already ordred a case. Very happy with this, will do for at the very least 2 years.
One more thing, the camera is very good, in my opinion on par with the S6 and the iphone 6.

27 Oct 15#153
Loving the phone. Feels very premium and comfortable in the hand. The fingerprint sensor is very quick! Button placements are perfect. Enjoying having the speakers at the front for a change. Coming from a 720p display, the display on the 6P is awesome. Was setting it up for an hour and a half and it got a little warm but got no lag. Android M feels very refined. Glad to be leaving TouchWiz behind. Tried 4G for the first time and it's pretty quick from home. Bumper on the back isn't that obtrusive at all though I do wish the back looked a little better but I've seen nice cases that'll enhance the look. Took pictures in low light and they looked good. Worried about image stabilization. We'll see.
Cases seem unavailable/due soon, so waiting for that. Which one are people going for? Spigen, Verus and Adopted (official one) look good to me.
thomps121
27 Oct 15#154
I went for a Spigen one, waiting for it to arrive, i would of gone for an official one but the price difference was £22! if i could afford it i would as love the look of the material back.
This has gone up to £5.99 now but was £2.50 when i ordered it.

30 Oct 15#160
Yeah it's a great handset. Size is daunting to start, but I've really got used to it. Camera is seriously good, and the battery lasts really well even with using it all the time through novelty. Sadly the network isn't up to the task. I deliver around Wales (specifically tywyn, machynlleth) and I dont get Internet signal at all. Sending the phone back to go back to 3 and sadly get another phone
i watched the video link and then thought to myself but he broke the glass before he did the bendgate test, then this popped up in my Google now a few mins later androidpolice.com/201…te/
basically don't go by that video at all, no one should be put of buying this phone from an inaccurate bendgate test
thomps121
31 Oct 15#163
This video explains all, I'd go as far as saying please remove the false video link, as the guy that did the video works for a phone repair shop and the test is backwards , even cleatus could on done better. ... brandeeeeeen!
Just to clarify, Nexus 6P = Does not bend and this phone screams quality , also from other posts battery life is amazing! getting 2 days worth but all depends on usage
planning to buy this however not sure 3gb is enough data
thomps121
10 Nov 15#170
I was wondering the same thing before i bought mine, but i would say just go based on what Job you have, if you work in an area all day and have both wifi at work and at home then this is more than enough, i usually use data when out at the weekends or when walking the dogs and usually have over 50% left at the end of the month. This phone is amazing, highly recommend.
Simpleminded
10 Nov 15#171
thanks, currently i get 5gb data monthly on o2 and pay £16.10 a month however i dont go over 3gb on my 3g phone in fact only go up 2.5gb in last few months. i am going for it however i'll relay more on wifi ..

fast charging how good is it?
and what color would you recommend?
thomps121
10 Nov 15#174
Fast charging is very good, it also uses USB type C, so charging using both charges that it comes with is very fast, but fast charging is very hand, 30% - 90% in 30 mins typically.
Also i went for Silver, as i think it looks the best and also if you scratch it they won't show up as much.

I have the black. Looks great. Don't really notice the fingerprints but obviously a bit of dust will be more apparent. I'm happy with my choice.

any recommendation for protective cases without compromising the looks
Getting it tomorrow but the reviews seem good. Should make finding the fingerprint sensor easier. Seen some reports of cases getting in the way of the camera and making it difficult to take screenshots. Hopefully this one is fine.
Improves the look (the back of the phone) in my opinion.

I got mine today, it is a nice case but makes the phone a lot wider and very square. I prefer my gel case from ebay.

11 Nov 15#186
i like it, hows the fingerprint reader with the case on? how much it adds weight and thickens the phone?
ajavaid92
11 Nov 15#187
It's a pretty slim case. Fingerprint reader works better with cases. Not the actual fingerprint mechanism, but the fact that it's easier to locate the reader on the back of the phone due to the "dip" in the case.

Probably too good to be true - both myself and friend went for this, got asked to amend details for a credit check, got declined and then immediately got offered much worse offers on other networks. Seems odd since neither of us have ever been declined credit for anything, and O2 appear to have no records of this. Don't get your hopes up, other reviews say the same....

Anyone voting cold, please link me to a cheaper deal for this phone. Would be amazing to get it less than £25pcm when my sim free deal is £20!
Hey ho.
Have some heat - good find
£10.50 cashback via topcashback as well
...Of course if I could hold my water for a week or two, I'm sure there'd be an even better deal coming along!
reviews.co.uk/com…rue
Also if your right and it does overheat, i will be returning it and changing to another phone, which won't be a samsung although the design and hardware are gorgeous, the software stinks, badly!
androidheadlines.com/201…tml
I've transferred numbers between the same network provider a couple of times (Tesco to Tesco, which runs on the o2 network, and T-Mobile to T-Mobile) and not had any issues, it's just a simple phone call to customer services.
xda-developers.com/one…ew/
just wait for PRC to execute order 66.
that means the phone in this deal cost more than 500 pounds, the RRP is £449 for 32gb.
So, I am voting cold.
Not voting either way, but lukewarm from me.
androidauthority.com/son…45/
extremetech.com/ext…810
The 810 is a flawed chipset, it didn't use custom KRAIT cores but ARMs big.LITTLE architecture. The Snapdragon 820 will use the new KYRO cores and that's the one to look out for.
No heat issues no, but that's only because they had to force it into throttling at the slightest activity. It's an absolute mess, although I'll probably still pick one up.
Remember to go through TCP for an extra £10.10 cashback.
Also if you have a Santander 123 current account be sure to pay through that as it pays 3% cashback on the £31 monthly which is an extra £22.32 cashback over the 24 months.
Total cost of contract with all cashback included is £587.50. Not bad for a brand new flagship with 3GB data allowance!
Expected 26th Ordered thanks!!
Just because 4 and 5 were cheap doesn't mean everyone other should be

Due to high demand this is out of stock so we are unable to send the order out to you. We are sorry for the delay and thank you for your patience.
We will update you again within 7 days so there is no need to contact us.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.
At least it's not cancelled. Hope I don't have to wait too long though. Surprised it doesn't say OOS on the website.
Looking good!
They are under investigation for writing dodgy reviews.
Check out an honest site

Re: your order for a Huawei Nexus 6P 32GB Black
:disappointed:
May I ask what date you guys placed the initial order? And am I right to presume you both ordered the black colour?
I ordered silver, no email so far but i will keep checking my inbox.
Did call them yesterday (curious if the delay was because of the colour) but I put the phone down after waiting for 10 minutes. Waited ages when I called them the first time too. Very frustrating trying to get through to them.
I received an email saying my phone will be delivered on Monday (but as I said I changed my order to the silver one) but no email from O2.
Edit: Correction, I just noticed I did receive the email from O2 welcoming me. Now I need to see if what they told me about porting the number is true.
In any case I shall be eagerly waiting for the delivery driver this Monday !!
Your Mobiles.co.uk order is due for delivery on Monday 26th October
On the morning of the Monday 26th October you'll receive a 1 hour delivery window and you'll be able to live track your order on its way to you. Please ensure that someone is available to sign for your delivery.
Seems like it's coming, no?
Dear Mr AgentSmith,
We are pleased to confirm that your order has been successfully processed and will be dispatched shortly from our logistics centre.
Your order details:
-------------------------------------------------------------
Package 1
O2 4G Smartphone ?31 3GB @ £31.00 / month This is a 24 month Service Agreement. Save £124 cashback by redemption - FREE Credited by redemption. Huawei Nexus 6P 32GB Black - FREE
-------------------------------------------------------------
Package 2
DPD - FREE
-------------------------------------------------------------
And plus, you wouldn't use an expensive courier such as DPD to send out a sim card + welcome pack.
I was told repeatedly that the contract will start AFTER the phone is received.
My O2 account also shows that this order was placed yesterday - so mobiles.co.uk sent O2 the details yesterday and that's when the order was placed on their system.
Do 02 bill one month in advance ??
Also those who have taken this deal and subscribed to this thread.
Even though its on the mobiles.co.uk website, as a safety net I'll try to remind others and post on this thread of when the rebate is due and when you should send in your bill.
