Have been looking for a decent pre-order price. Can't really see it getting much cheaper than this before it comes out so probably the best all around deal for those looking to pre-order. I tried the bespoke offer and they offered me it at £40! pfft.
Plus Game is reliable and I've got reward points to use up.

Halo has lost one of its strong points - multiplayer split screen.
if the game play on Halo 5 hasn't improved then it would be a sacrifice in vain.

Don't think multiplayer split screen w.as necessarily one of Halo's strong points. At least not recently. It made a great transition into online gaming.
The problem I have is whether it will 'rediscover' the Halo gameplay. Since 343 took over the series has somewhat lost it's character and the multiplayer has been increasingly COD-esque like every other FPS.
Still, I quite enjoyed the BETA and the new 1 life each arena mode was a pretty good addition, plus the campaign does sound interesting and adds something a bit different to previous Halo games with the inclusion of basic options for AI team mate tactics. I still think it's one of the best FPS series out there despite it's recent 'fall from grace'.

The loss of local multiplayer has made this a bargain bin game for me :disappointed: it is a great game and the campaign will undoubtedly be worth playing - don't get me wrong, but Im not the world's biggest fan of its online play compared to other shooters.

The thing is once I played something like battlefield 4 I found it very hard to go back to the Halo franchise.
The movement just felt wrong to me.
It will be interesting to see how the game play pans out.

A game that has been couch multiplayer since 2001 and suddenly they're like.. nope.. can't be done... Of course it can. Lazy gits. The fact that it runs in 60fps albeit with a dynamic res, means there's enough power to play split screen at 30fps ffs wtf omg... Lazy devs I say. I'll probably sell it on ebay as soon as I finish the story.

its pretty simplistic (no reloading). Simple moving mechanics nothing too complex like wierd jumping or wierd vaults etc. It plays smoothly and the 60fps is very nice. We've been missing out on a game like this, very refreshing imo since fps's have been trying to do way too much lately. I'm not keen on the maps so far, but if the others look good then I can imagine me playing this game consistently. looking forward to it.

I'm surprised how many people care so much about split screen. Yeah it sucks. But from what I can gather they barely made it work at 30fps on the MCC so I'm going to probably guess while two players would be doable, the full four player experience would not and really its all or nothing, what's the point of custom games with only two of you eh :wink:
