Cheapest I have seen since April so this is HOT! Personally bored with this game now but well worth it just to see what it is all about.

I mean with using my Rockstar Social account, for the offline stuff. I was using a friends Social Account log in to play through the story, now I want to use mine. I know I can transfer my old PS3 online stuff to my PC so I'm good to go on that front.

Just for clarity, can I confirm this isn't a steamworks title once the code is redeemed? I understand you need a social account to play (which is fine) but I assume this is not distributed via steam - can anyone confirm?

As silly as it sounds, if it isn't on steam then I won't play as I like having all my games on one location... Which is why I don't play any EA or Ubisoft games on my PC as I cannot stand having all these clients just to play a game.

It's not steam but there isn't a client as such its just click on launcher and click play once installed, all the launcher does is check for updates and install them its not a full interface.

Its like when you get a MMO, it just checks for updates rather than a full client.

but what about the cash it is linked qith your online acc, like the stocks so i dont think you can if so then you would loose the cash earned on the single player as it can also be used online.

Mine is better, I get 160 meg which means I download about 1.2 gigabytes a minute, it often peaks anything from 17.9 megabytes a second to just over 20.

Is it worth getting the Great White Shark edition for an extra £4. (22% code doesn't seem to work but 20% one is - making it £24.95).

For me it gets annoying as I find that I reinstall me OS on a (semi) regular basis. ie whenever something isn't working, upgrading to windows 10 or whenever I've messed up after upgrading/tinkering :stuck_out_tongue:

Got an email about this, annoying as hell as the download stays at 12mb/s for a while then goes back to 9kb/s after a few minutes, so had to keep restarting.

If you are already a Green man gaming user it would also be worth checking your email to see if you have a "Get GTA V for £18.76 | Voucher inside" email waiting as well :smiley:

Anyone considering this beware,
The installer is useless, its a 60gb download, I only have normal broadband but I can reach download speeds of up to 8mbps. Rockstar social club only reaches around 256kbps if its lucky and usually sits around 10-150kbps. The connection also fails regularly and you have to manually press reconnect, usually losing a lot of the download if not all.
Feel completely ripped off and don't know what to do.
Don't usually torrent, but can anyone recommend anything? Preferably a legitimate download, havnt downloaded in years as I like to support developers but Rockstar don't deserve a penny of my money when they cant even handle there own direct server downloads.
Very unhappy :disappointed: There are plenty of threads round google with hundreds of complaints also.
To anyone who has already purchased, 2 recommended ways to get it to work are to launch it as admin or delete the .part file and restart it. Neither work for me, even if it didn't need restarting every 10 minutes it would take 8-10 days constantly downloading (And one other thing, despite it downloading at terrible speeds, for some reason it uses up 100% of your connection so no Netflix etc. Again its not just me with these problems).

Didn't have any problems with the download. Only reason I couldn't do anything else was because my download was maxing out. Don't have fibre or anything either, just the normal BB. Was getting around 11.5mbps and took around 12 hours. Just left it on overnight and all done by mid morning. Installed and running perfectly so far.

I had no problem, downloaded at 19mb a second, took about an hour. Sure its not your ISP?

At this point I really don't know. Can usually have steam downloading, I limit it to 512kbps, a minecraft server running, 2 phones, 2 tablets and usually somebody is watching Netflix and we don't usually have issues. Ive tried disabling the wifi, so only my pc is connected via Ethernet, fresh restart with everything turned off, steam disabled and automatic updates off, still same problem.
If you guys can download it, then its something my end, however there is a massive thread on rockstar support with hundreds of people having similar issues. Seems some people are just gonna get unlucky whilst downloading...
Seems unfair and very random, gonna try another router, perhaps try downloading via mobile tethering and see if I still have problems.
Can find the thread for anyone with similar issues, ill also either try different methods like port forwarding or contact support failing that try and get a refund and post back when I get a solution

For anyone interested, even with all other connections disabled, the downloader would not work without being restarted every 10 mins or so with download speeds of 10-200kbps.
Torrenting a pre cracked retail release. Hopefully this will work, will update if it does.

Was very tempted by this + 2% tcb but ... in the end i went with ebays flash sale GTA V steam gift, £37.99 + 20% off flash sale saved £7.60 + 1% tcb so pretty much paid £30.29 and have the bonus of being able to verify game intergrity so i don't have to constantly re download the game and will get my steam achievements too xD

Just got an email, i bought the great white shark bundle and i'm getting the extra 500k with my 1250k, so in total 1750000 cash in game ^_^

Just incase anyone else was having issues,
Search for a 3DMgame torrent, its a retail torrent without cracks or patches, copy the files over to your install location and launch, only a 500mb patch to download then and is bearable.
Might only be me with these issues I don't know but hopefully this will help someone.
Worth a try if your download speed is slow also, was able to achieve up to 2mbps download speeds (which for broadband is alright!)
Online works fine and connection is excellent too, just seems to be the installer random people are having issues with.

To confirm, if you bought the Great White Shark version you should have got cash bonus of 1.75M. If not then raise a ticket.

Had to chase them up a 2nd time but got my code for the $500,000 now, apparently having an issue with sending these codes out automatically to some people.

Very odd, I just made the purchase using Paypal, they send me two confirmations for the purchase of the game with 2 separate CD keys? but only 1 PayPal receipt.

One was for £20~, the other says £5.99 PROMO. But both give a different CD key. Is one for the 500k?
