Seems a great price, a bit miffed as i paid more for mine a few weeks back... buy hey. Use code - CUKFLASH to drop the price!
Great coolers on these as well, as did my previous GB card. If your hitting above 1080p then the 6gb of Vram will defo come in handy. Especially with new games snagging pretty much every ounce of GPU grunt they can lay the binary little mitts on...

Anyone know if this is a reference design?

It isn't, it's their 'windforce' cooling design

No it's not reference as in cooler or PCB.

Didn't he mean reference PCB? You can have third party coolers on reference design PCB's.

Yeah i did mean PCB. Currently got a non-reference 7970 Ghz and there are no full-cover waterblocks for it :disappointed:
Cheers for the info.

Hardline mostly, my old 680 is getting rather temperamental.

People are spending £460 on a video card, these days?

People have bee spending that and more for over 10 years.
They've also been having sex since just after the virgin mary, in case you weren't aware. That was 2000 ish years give or take.

I spent £900 on a video card a few months back. Sorry you think £460 is expensive.

Well it certainly ran loud. Managed to get a universal GPU only block with a separate block for the VRMs, doesn't go past 40C now.
Bought a g-sync monitor in anticipation of an upgrade though, so waiting for something affordable from the green team that's a decent step up in performance...

It's no more than new phones cost, sadly. Back in the 90s, I paid £300 for one once. After that I stuck to the £100-150 mark... until the 980Tis came out. Awesome cards.

The amount for performance for the price is entirely justified.

I have gone a slightly different route and purchased a free sync 144mhz monitor. I have the gtx970,but wish to take advantage of free sync. Need an AMD card to see if it's worth it. Nice cool temps on your card. Hoping to water cool a gpu in the future, just not sure if it's worth it. My card only gets to 67 under load.

Just a quick note to those that bought that the cards are eligible for the bullets or blades free game. You just need to ring up and ask. Makes it even more of a deal
