How does Kodi run on this?

It doesn't "run" Kodi, just casts it from another device.

Was just about to pay, then saw this website of awful reviews of this company. I'm not sure I trust them with this free delivery from China...
I have only ever ordered from the EU site, delivery was left by my dustbin

I don't really understand about 80% of the description... will this do roughly the same as a Chromecast from an iphone 5C or iphone 6? I'd like to be able to watch Netflix etc on a non-smart TV and was going to get another Chromecast, but this seems to be a cheaper alternative? Thanks!

it is clearly copy of chrome-cast and one should NOT looking for all functionalities of original google stick and you wont get any future updates and offers related to google chrome stick subscription. it is merely another chines made stick which you can hook up with your tv and run few apps. I think, Amazon's new stick is much better than this fake stick.
but there is a price difference and so quality difference too....

I've had a couple of these Chinese casting devices, and despite good reviews, they are cheap for a reason. The first problem is the limited WiFi range. The second and more important is the instability while casting. Connection drops easily. The best way to cast is to do a WiFi direct connection, but then your device loses Internet. If you go through the router it is generally unstable and the lag is very noticeable. At this price though might be worth a punt.

Yes. Do yourselves all a favour and save your money. These are inferior products and not worth their cost or the wait involved to get them delivered.

If it is anything like the Measy I had, I would give this a massive miss, I'd say pay the extra to get a Chromecast or FireTV Stick.

What's the best kodi streaming device ?
I use chromecast and showbox at moment but sometimes it's laggy, I'd rather have a device that runs direct off it. Is it best to just buy a android fully loaded off ebay? Or? Any recommendations?
Thanks

I can't recommend the Raspberry Pi 2 enough, for £30 it will play/stream anything I throw at it.

I use the Amazon Firestick which i have sideloaded TVMC program. It works pretty well. If you can afford it I would properly go for the new Fire Tv as the spec is more powerful(4k ready) more external connections i.e optical connection, RJ45 & USB connection.

get the fastest android tv box you can ,reasonable quad core,or the 4k rated ones as some of them have 8 gpu cores for better streaming or for a larger budget one of the newer octacore boxes with 2-4gb of ram running lollipop just make sure you get an air mouse pad as the standard remote is very slow and clunky to use

That was to save you taking it inside, just to take it back out to the bin.

Only good if you understand what it is exactly. Not a simple plug & play for most people.

For an extra £6 you can get a micro SD card pre-installed with Kodi then it is quite literally just plug and play (as plug & play as Kodi ever is anyway) but I understand most people would be put off.

Sorry I know it's cheap but for £35 you get a fire stick that properly runs kodi. Don't see the point to be honest.

For ~£23 (at least for this week) this box looks pretty good at the moment. http://www.geekbuying.com/item/CX-X3-4K-TV-Box-Android-4-4-Vidon-XBMC-Quad-Core-4K-H-265-Decoding-Bluetooth-4-0-HDMI-DLNA-Miracast-353176.html
It's scheduled to get Remix OS too at some point which is nice.
