Keep clear of this model. There is no way of knowing how much water is in the closed pressurised tank. When it runs out, which is fairly quickly, you have to stand around waiting for it to cool down and then top it up again. This procedure may need to be repeated more than once, if you have a lot of ironing to do. Other models from Aldi are great. Just make sure that it has a removable and transparent tank.

Well I dropped it from a height and it stopped producing steam, so imagine your tefal one would have done the same under those circumstances, but would they have been as helpful in fixing it? I doubt it?!
With regards to the quality, My mum paid £90 for hers and it's no better as a basic iron or a steam generator, so for this price it's a steal.

The base tank isn't removable... That's my issue. You'll only know if there's not enough water when it runs out of steam. Then you have to turn it off, wait for it to cool, refill and warm up again. I know it's not a big issue for most but it seems such a basic thing to miss out..

I just got one of these. I'm considering returning it as I can't see a water level indicator anywhere.. Can anyone help? I don't like the idea of guessing how much water is left and/or running out halfway through..

I think a steam iron is a product that even the most hardened of HUKDers would struggle to start an argument over!
