Ingenious gadget. A radio aerial with a magnet on one end and a pen clip on the other. Have some heat!

I have one with...a light on the end! :sunglasses:
These are great. Remember the fear that hit me when I dropped a tappet lock nut into the cylinder head of my TR1. One of these saved my bacon big time. I couldn't even see the nut but thank goodness it locked on to the magnet rather than fall down into the engine - which could have meant a full engine strip to find it.

If you think that's good, wait till you see the Rolson version which pimps things up with an LED torch in the middle of the magnet head :sunglasses:
Edit: meathot beat me to it

I just do it the old fashioned way, I pick dropped items up with my fingers...odd, I know!

The problem is when working on vehicles you often drop things where you can't get your fingers so this tool comes in very handy.
I also use one of the flexible claw tools and mirror this covers most situations.

Well I have MS so picking things up with my fingers isn't always an option

Cheers, OP. Just ordered one for getting screws out of holes when I'm fixing stuff. It'll definitely be better than my current system of an old fridge magnet. Heat added .

I got a few of these from tesco a couple of years ago as little stocking fillers for family members. I was suprised at how well they went down with them. Tesco are always selling these off if you are in there. Heat give.

Great if you are by a drain, before, locking up your car,and you accidentally drop your keys in it.So pleased I had this inside, as I soon got them back.

Here we go again, "I really want this fairly useless item, but I don't know why... what can I possibly use this for? Think Duncan, think!"

You can go into peoples homes and keep sticking it to the side of their fridge. and when they get bored of that you can move to the cooker and washing machine. and when she gets angry you can use it like a sword to keep her at arms length so she can't hit you with all the saucepans you've picked up and dropped on the kitchen floor.

The magnets on these are very strong, often stronger than the glue that holds the magnet on the stick. Also when using them in a car, they like to stick to everything on the way.
Also the magnet is coated in a chrome-like top layer to prevent corrosion, but it chips easily and starts to corrode. I recommend using a small, fairly thin plastic cover over the magnet to protect it and give you a fighting chance of getting bits of rusty iron off.
Other than that, great deal if the postman can get it through the letterbox.

Has anyone got one of these yet, When I ordered and paid there appeared loads in stock.....but Ive just had an email saying theyre out of stock and will have to wait until January for one....or if I dont want to wait.....I can cancel....
Do you think theyve made a mistake with these, as the cost will barely cover the "free delivery" and are "out of stock"
because of this

Mine arrived today, though as you say, I suspect they're making nothing on each sale. In fact, I'd go as far as to say they're probably making a loss on each one sold when the cost of the padded envelope, sticky labels, postage, a member of staff's time to pick and package it and the item itself are all added up.
That said, it's quite a good little thing, the magnet is extremely strong for something so cheap. It'll quite easily pick up any screw, bolt or tool you might drop into some awkward to reach place.
