It's just personal preference but I found 24" too small for 2560x1440. I think 27" is the minimum you need to use this resolution without having to modify dpi settings in Windows.

I have a 27" 1440p screen and i wouldn't want that sort of resolution on anything smaller. The fact you're magnifying rather than running it native, to me, says that it's a bit too small for that resolution. Just my opinion though; some may love it!!

Delighted with this monitor. After a few days, I find 100% dpi is fine (no need for 125%)

Same here, but phone operating systems tend to be better at handling very high pixel density than desktop Windows.

So, which of the 27" 1440p monitors on there would you rate? It seems Qnix quality has taken a hit, and I didn't see Crossover ones there?

my 27 inch benq is 1080p. Anything smaller for more res, I would feel thats not efficient.

I'm currently dithering over buying a Benq 27 inch monitor.
I can certainly recommend Dell customer services, they have replace mine twice previously due to dead pixels. They sent me a replacement the next day and I did not have to return my previous monitor until the replacement had arrived which was fantastic.

HOT!
I've seen plenty of deals for 27" screens.
I've not voted for these because of the resolution - 1080p on a 27" is poor.
But this is the first 27" monitor deal on HUKD I've seen which gets my vote.
This is a great deal and if you are looking for a 27" screen at a good price, this should be on your short list.

A moderately priced 27" 2560 x 1600 is pretty hard to find, I quite fancy one of those over a 16:9 monitor. Might have to have a dig about...

Its a shame you say that cause it looks like I might actually have to get the wallet out!

Not necesserily - the magnification just means that text elements are too small to read at standard Windows scaling. You can still see more detail in the picture, which is mostly what you're after.
Fantastic screen for the price though, especially with the Dell warranty. Voted hot.

Other than the resolution, what's the difference between the P2416 and say the U2415?

Have the same but with windows. Great monitor. 25" is fine with me. I use it more for development than gaming.

I have the u2515h. The ms is the same.
It's perfectly usable in most games, but faster games like Unreal Tournament suffer on it. There are 165Hz IPS 1440p monitors due out soon (lots of money though), so that will be my second screen to go with this.
The overdrive on this screen causes a bit more overshoot than I like, so I tend to leave it off - I suspect it will be the same on this.

I have the BENQ XL27 version for gaming and a DELL Ultrasharp 24" for photoshop work. The Dells are fantastic for anything that needs accurate colour cant fault them and great build quality (i've had mine 4 years now). My only issue is deciding on how to place my monitors, i cant seem to find a comfortable solution but thats no fault of the monitor.
Great bit of kit here so heat from me!

Makes sense. My main desktop is a 4k BDM4065UC (40" so I can run native resolution), plus a stacked pair of old 1080p TN screens for other machines. I'd like 1440p IPS instead but 2x decent 27" 1440p screens are too expensive and big. I'll have to put up with 125% ...

With the u2515h and windows 7/10 it looks fine at 125% but some text on programs doesn't look quite right. On evernote for example. Most programs like office/ thunderbird and browsers look fine.

Im starting to game less and do a lot more design work so the gaming is less important. Just cant justify a new monitor as I have only had this 9 months. Im so weak I expect I will cave in the next few hours lol

Oooh nice price, if you are after more pixel real estate in a small package and are constrained for screen size.
Probably best at 125% magnification

TFTCentral like the similar Dell U2515H, which doesn't have VGA, but the P2416D does.

Hopefully the Anti-Glare will be the same as the U2515H
